I'm sure Mag will post the article before long, but in today's Tidesports article Bo talks about how cool it would be to be Bama's 1st commit for the 2014 class so he's thinking about making his decision soon but then again he might wait.

He also talks about working at WR at upcoming camps. If he's so determined to play RB IDK why he would keep working at WR.

I personally think his future is at WR.

The obvious answer is that he's going to do both.

I have no idea if that is true or not, but he could definitely do it.

Here's what he said about his future position in a BOL article:
quote:

“I talked to Coach Saban, too. He told me a lot of what Coach Nussmeier said- that I could play running back for them and stuff like that. They switched my spot to running back. I’m for playing running back but if a team needs me to play somewhere else, I will.
And what he said about committing:
quote:

"I would like for my face to be the first one on the wall," Scarbrough said. "I'll commit at the end of the summer."

IMO, the only real threat to Bama for Bo is OU and it would take:

1. OU offering him and making him a priority
2. Bo deciding he wants to leave home for college

And I know he didn't list OU in his top 5 but I think that's only because they haven't been recruiting him yet

In the TS article he does talk about how it would be cool to play RB with Tenpenny and/or play WR with OJ, so maybe we're selling him on being the next Percy Harvin

I could actually see him being used like Reggie Bush was at USC.

just hope Bo doesn't do what RN seemingly did and pick another school to spite all of those that said he was a lock for bama

Yeah, there's no way a prospect likes another school more than Bama. It was all to spite people

.........

RN is dead to me now.

Class of 2014 prospect Bo Scarbrough said he's very close to committing and as Alabama has no commits for 2014, he likes the idea of kicking off that class for the Crimson Tide.

"I would like for my face to be the first one on the wall," Scarbrough said. "I'll commit at the end of the summer."

The running back out of Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa said he doesn't have an ordered list of schools right now but does have five that stand out to him. Those schools are Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Michigan. He has also been speaking to Florida State, Mississippi State and UCLA this summer as well.

Scarbrough said he has narrowed down his list to those schools because of their running-style offenses. He said he likes Clemson because of their history of running back duos like C.J. Spiller and James Davis and believes he would be a good fit there.

Scarbrough has already been to Gainesville for Florida's camp this summer and plans to attend Alabama's in July with teammate James Cox. He said he plans to use his time there as a receiver and work with Alabama assistants on his cuts and running his routes better.

"I don't play receiver in high school much so I just play it in camps," Scarbrough said. "We think that's a camp you can get better at."

He keeps in touch with several Alabama commits like Rueben Foster, OJ Howard and Altee Tenpenny. Since Scarbrough can play both running back and wide receiver, he welcomes the idea of playing next to Tenpenny and Howard on the Tide.

"That would be a killer for the Alabama team to have me and Altee split it up," Scarbrough said. "He's a great running back and I'm a great running back. O.J.'s a great receiver and I'm a great receiver so we'll see how that could work out. We'd definitely carry our load on that offense."

Until then, Scarbrough is relaxing at home and waiting until Friday for the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Atlanta. He will be just one of only 20 players from the class of 2014 to attend the camp. He said he plans to work at both positions but is excited to display his abilities at his natural position, running back.

"Most people have never seen me play running back during camp," Scarbrough said. "I can definitely improve my chances and I'll see how it goes then."
