DeMarcus Walker is coming back next weekend. He set his announcement date for August 3rd but I think it's possible that he pulls the trigger pretty soon considering he's visiting back to back weekends.

Wiggins is a marginal Division 1 prospect whose deficiencies would be masked by moving to Safety
Well, far be it for me to disagree, but Nike thought he was good enough to invite to The Opening. I think Langely is the better CB, but Shaq is clearly a CB. We've had guys his size that have been some of the best we've ever had (Tim Jennings in particular is still raging in the NFL).

That's where you and your brother disagree. He feels Wiggins is the better CB which is laughable.
As for invites to the Opening, that has nothing to do with a players position. You know that.

If you can, please formulate a WAY TOO EARLY top 5 QB class for 2015, thx. I can't sleep over here.

I mean, Shaq would be just as good if he was taller. He has ridiculous foot and hip movement. He'll still be a damn fine Nickel back or just general CB to have ont he team. Plus he'll keep morale up
But Langely wins out simply because he is the ideal, big 3-4 CB.

Yeah, but insinuating that Wiggins is a marginal player when he got that invite (and in the early going, too) is pretty silly

Dude, I can't even get a grip on the QBs for the 2014 class yet, let alone the 2015 class. I will say this though, California will have two of the top QBs in that class. One has been committed to USC for 3 years now and the other has teammates that have or will have committed to Alabama (Latua brothers).
I hope to have a full workup on the 2014 guys in the next month or so. Finding film on players that haven't even played their Junior years is hard though.

Bama is going all in for Justice Hansen for '14...

I may have gotten a little excited while refuting your brother's statements, but the reality is that Wiggins doesn't hold near the offers that Langley does. These camps like the Opening do not mean shite in the grand scheme of things. Hell, Hackenberg

Gotcha... I'll give a list of names by 10:00... I had a coffee, not going back to sleep

I see my work is cut out for me then. I hope you went the Starbucks route.

Here's an interesting question: Our 2010 class was, without a doubt, the worst of the Saban era. This years class may end up being the 2nd worst(if you just look at the disappointment if missing guys and multiple commitmwnments in the same positions like rb and qb where only one is on the field and a fricking long snapper) so why when most teams get a NC jump do we regress?
Posted on 6/17/12 at 7:49 pm to Sandkhan
I've always heard it was the 2nd class after the NC that it affected.

Auburn's class regressed too after the NC. In reality, it really doesn't matter that much

so why when most teams get a NC jump
quote:Your recruits already get the Bama bump which is similar to, but more consistent than, the NC bump.
do we regress?

No. NICK, you know better. We're missing on guys in June, not February. Odds are Nkemdiche changes his mind, and if he doesn't we'll still land a top 3 class. I've seen you say it before so I'll repeat it, Jonathan Allen is a complete stud and is possibly underrated at 10 overall. We still have Rueben and we lead for at least 5 out of the top 100. We took McLeod (there can be only one) and Mazza (he is the only one) because we don't have NEEDS at other positions. Like Trey said the other day, "You don't realize how big a long snapper is when you've had excellent long snapper play over the last 5 years." We are taking the best of the best, at every position. We took Griffith last year and no one batted an eye. The staff knows what they are doing.

Eh, Elite 11 is pretty corrupt. I'm actually surprised Ramsey finally got an invite. It's not the prestigious event it once was

Bingo. You win the NC in the 2nd week of Jan.2010. Yes for the 2009 season but also 3 weeks before NSD. You honestly think kids are just going to jump on board. Also at that point we only had a few spots left and they were not really any big surprises left out there.
We just won the NC Jan 2012 for the 2011 season but managed to have a great class. So not seeing any concern there and right now even though we did not get the commit from RN, this may be our best class yet this early under Saban. I can not remember a class like this in June.
Just my 1 cent my wife took the other.

USC committ is 2014. I know Bama was looking at some freak from Utah, i forget the class. There's a beast playing for McElroy's hs or will soon, 2015-16ish.
