To the services, maybe. He's just not that high on our board.
Coaches overlook players for all kinds of reasons, it happens.

This is a really strong TE class, so I wouldn't put him as one of the best.
Try harder.

The 30th best WR(247) in the country =/= one the best wide-outs in the country imo.
How many wide-outs are there in the country? Thousands? And he's ranked 30th (on 247 as you said)? I'd say he's definitely one of the best. He's also ranked #12 on Rivals and #15 on ESPN.

Now Robert Foster on the other hand...

Who is the last 3* WR you considered to be one of the best WR's in the country?
Robinson is right on the 3*/4* border. He's a hell of a lot closer to falling to 3* than he is to moving into even the top 20 WR's.

Now Robert Foster on the other hand is arguably the top WR in the entire country.

I'm pretty disappointed in this WR class, overall.

It's awfully weak after the top 8-10.

I wasn't aware that he was a 3 star wide-out...

He's a 4 star on every recruiting service I've seen.

He's ranked a top 20 WR on ESPN and Rivals, so...

You get an Julio Jones type and you start looking for one in every class. Maybe I'm just jaded.

We've taken so many WRs the last few classes that it just wasn't a priority this class. There are a half a dozen BCS calibre WRs in state this year that we could take our pick from if we were so inclined but looks like we're happy with Falkins, Johnson and possibly Foster.

ESPN is a joke. Rivals is getting there.

Mike Crabtree wasnt 3 star but he came ou of nowhere. Ty Hilton? Mike williams that was at USC? Tyrone prothro?

They were't considered elite until after they blew up. That's my point.

And it is funny how it was stated on message boards over and over and over again last year that JW was going to be a 1st round MLB pick. Yes, he's a big time baseball prospect but that does not automatically make him a 1st round pick.

I thought we were just having a conversation? Do we all have to have the same opinion?
Posted on 6/4/12 at 10:18 pm to TreyAnastasio
I think its pretty obvious by the TE talk.

I expect Robinson's rating to drop after camp season when the recruiting services see him first hand. Unless they change him to a TE, which is also possible. He might be a 4 star TE.
