While true , it is possible. We took Barksdale at the 11th hour several years back.

Grant Hill

is this guy a for gone conclusion to alabama?... seems like a bright kid who's taking an open-minded approach... of course, that could just be lip service...

Awesome. Let's take Hill, Crowder, and Bozeman for the Interior and an maybe an OT or 2 and then call it class for the OL.

Nope. I believe Carr was. RR was the coach when we tried to get William Campbell in 2009. Campbell hasn't done shite though.

Hill is basically locked up. He might commit at Jr day this Saturday.

I will be shocked if Grant Hill and Cameron Toney don't both sign with Alabama. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hill commit this weekend at Junior Day II.

Lloyd kind of had the Tubbs approach to recruiting his last few years, and RR just didn't like instate guys. Hoke has locked the state down. Trying to get a kid now is a little different.

Ya, so far he's been a bust. Didnt help that RR tried to turn him into an OL. Michigan needs him to get it together this year.

I'm not so sure about Toney anymore, especially if he waits until NSD.

Kids say that all the time. I can see him locking up a spot before the summer is over.

Per his coach, he doesn't think Hill will commit anytime soon:

quote:

"From just my opinion, I think he is going to take his time," Scott said. "I think he is going to look around a little and not feel rushed to make a decision his junior year."

I alluded to this earlier, I think it's him talking them into holding off...

Rose Towers was shady as hell when I lived there. And that was when it was half-way kept up, because the football team lived there too.

I can see the coach trying to protect Toney, who may not be at the top of Alabama's board. However, Hill is one of the top interior linemen in the country. I'm not sure what he's trying to accomplish there.

Who are Bama's top 5 WR's on the board? How many do you see them taking, and which guys are you most confident in at this point?

What do you guys think?

Alabama has a very deep, but very young WR corps right now. I could see us just taking the in-state guys. Earnest Robinson (Pinson) would be at the top, I suppose. DeAndre Woods (Pinson) is in there too. ArDarius Stewart (Birmingham) is committed and could project at WR. I'm not sure about Jarren Johnson (Jackson).

Perception might be different on his end, he may see them as equals rather than different caliber players. I could see where giving one that advice and not the other may be construed as "favoritism" in a way. You want to protect his future, but not mine?

I still see him at safety. He reminds me a lot of Robert Lester.

All lip service, all those quotes etc were right after another school offered and their whole pitch was "you won't have a spot if you commit now" sadly the coach bought it hook, line and sinker, but both are priorities. I won't tell you who the staff was, if you follow his commt history you can find it, but it was a desperate attempt at best since both are heavy HEAVY Bama leans.

Also another note, Kelvin Taylor is either playing the game or he has a lot more interest in Bama, he postponed his commitment and will be in Ttown for Jr day this weekend. Also hearing Robert Nkemdiche is likely showing up as well. How would y'all feel about pulling both those in as commits? Wow
