Probably another year or two. It was 7 years ago this August. I doubt anyone who was younger than 6 or 7 years old at the time really comprehended what was going on though, so they probably consider themselves residents of whatever state they ended up in.

TJ is 100% solid lock and key, could care less about Kublanow

I was going to ask too, but I spent so long reading it over and over trying to figure out what it was trying to say, that somebody else had already asked.

This unrelated, I want Fournette and Devon Thomas at RB next cycle. Bo is yours and Recean is conceded. I think both schools would be happy.
Haven't you heard, Bama is only recruiting Fournette at LB
Although it wouldn't be a bad career choice long term if he was a LB. Initial money may go to the RB, but LB gets longevity...

Made sense to me. If he is gonna pull the trigger anytime soon. It'll be tonight. Otherwise he won't be committing anytime soon.
What's so hard to understand?

If you can play any position but RB effectively you'd be better off going with that.

I wasn't putting enough emphasis on the "if" part I guess.

LB wouldn't be bad for him, but isn't he a little undersized for Bama at LB?

Apparently Bo Davis, Texas assistant coach, is evaluating Fournette today at practice. I'll call it now, Fournette will have LSU, Alabama, and Texas hats on the table, but Texas has no shot.

It depends on how tall he is actually, I've seen from 6 foot to 6-2. Foster isn't all that tall IIRC, around 6-1. I think the "ideal" weight of Bama's LBs are overrated, they'd play a 200 pound linebacker if he could hit and cover day 1.
Not that I think Bama would solely recruit him as a LB, but you can't say he doesn't have potential there. I still say he reminds me of FSU's Greg Jones before he had knee trouble. He was a specimen at RB who, because of his injury, was cut down to being a specimen at FB in the NFL...

frick Bo Davis, everyone loved him as a person, but they also complained about his coaching when Rumph came in and showed them otherwise.
At the pace Texas is at though, they could show a lethal running attack with Brown and Berg the next 2 years. Still, I doubt he'll end up there either...

Scout lists LF at 6'2 227. He could play LB for us.

I tend to stick with the conservative estimates with recruits, because it's the more likely size

SAN PABLO, Calif. – Faced with elite competition, Alabama commit Cooper Bateman fought through windy conditions, improved throughout the day and came away as one of the top performers at the California Elite 11 Regional.
Bateman was one of the most polished quarterbacks in attendance at Contra Costa College outside of Oakland. From the first rep of work, he showed off great footwork and athleticism. He’s is fundamentally sound with a smooth and effortless delivery and he has the ability to make a lot of unique throws.
It wasn’t always pretty for Bateman. Early in the day he really struggled throwing deep balls into the wind and there were several throws throughout the day that were very uncharacteristic but as the day continued, his fundamentals took over and he gained more and more consistency.
At the end of the event, Bateman found himself as one of seven finalists for the camp MVP as named by the Elite 11 coaches. The MVP award was taken by USC commit Max Browne but Bateman gave Alabama fans plenty to be excited about.
