I'm big on Hubbard too. He could be the prototypical Jack we've been looking for to really project onto prospective Jack recruits.

You guys are killing me. It was exactly what three- four years ago that the West was LSU and no one else except for an occasionally good Auburn year. This stuff is so cyclical it is ridiculous to crow about it.

We were hurt with NCAA sanctions 3-4 years ago. Coaching has really brought us back to where we belong. Our failed experiments of Dubose, Fran, Price, and Shula as leaders of our program really set us back. If we had hired a true head coach after Stallings instead of a coordinator, maybe these other schools wouldn't have had as much success as they did.

We run shite now get use to it and it going to be us and LSU for a long time. You guys will be satisfied with your mediocre seasons under Richt. He will never win anything. Cant believe he moved your best offensive player on offense to defense.

However, if we had hired a different coach after Stallings, we almost certainly wouldn't be experiencing what we are now, which is being the best program in the entire country.

I've resigned myself to believing that all those terrible years were worth it and that we now are seeing an almost unprecedented era in Alabama football.

SIAP, Grant Hill has accepted an invitation to play in the Under Armour All American game. That gives us 4 commits in that game in Hill, Foster, Bateman, and Howard.

I agree with this. You have to be bad to be good. You have to real bad to be great. Shite was really bad at one point.

Re: Beating bama Reply
Bama's team last year was built on dominant D, running the fball & not making mistakes. They lost too many key players on D to think they can just plug new people in & continue to be dominant. Also, u can't lose a player like Rent & expect 2 be as effective running the ball. IMO, McCarron still has 2 prove he can do more than manage a game w/o Rent to lean on & unproven talent @ receiver.
I expect us 2 be much improved on both sides of the ball, especially both lines. If we can stay relatively healthy, u bet ur azz we can beat them.

I agree with the OP. I think we win that game and I think the Turds have a lot of unproven Def players this year and I think we have the same level of talent as them

If the game is still played on both sides of the ball, we definitely are on the same level talent-wise. I think we're gonna start to see how talented our young defensive players are.

but everything he catches is 5-10 yards past the LOS.

As a sophomore, Lutz caught a lot more down field because he wasn't at fullback a ton. He had to stay in and block a ton last year.

Dixie Mafia just posted and is still saying Nkemdiche to Bama and Foster's old coach was at the AHS spring game dressed head to toe in Smith's Station gear. Expecting Foster to transfer there.

And bad coaching hires didn't hurt the top East teams at all. Dude, bad coaching hires are almost always the reason top programs decline. LOL.

Meh. Foster has been an Alabama fan his entire life. Where his former HS coach gets a job is irrelevant in his college destination IMO. He just said in the past week that his commitment to UA is solid. That's good enough for me.

Interesting. Still in Lee County, but anywhere is better than AHS.
