I get you Mag. But, goddamn, he has the size and athletic ability to be special.
His Senior year will be crucial, he's gotta show that his great practices and physique can be consistently applied on the field. I know it might cut into his stamina, but I'd like to see him go both ways. Then you could recruit him on either side with less projection.
If not, he's gonna be using that would be potential at Mississippi State.
And in a related note, I know one of his teammates on the DL...

Where are ArDarius Stewart, and Deon Johnson gonna start out.
Posted on 5/17/12 at 10:01 pm to Defense
Johnson at slot receiver and Stewart at CB is my guess.

Well attitude was one of the major question marks about Fanning too. He had excellent measurables, but didn't have that killer instinct one wanted in a player his size. Now he is the darling of our defense. It all points to maturity and coaching.
Give Jones time and I think he flourishes in the same way.

Deon is 110% WR, some are saying he is far and away the best WR in state easily, just gotta hope his grades are in order
Used to think that about Stewart, until we landed DJ, now looks like CB/S, more likely CB got smooth hips phenomenal speed, like I said played FS 2 games last yr in the Playoffs and had 17 tackles 3 ints

I agree with everything about his running stlye. I just dont see him playing it.
I think he's just too big, and lacks the speed to play WR. Does he even have the hands?
My biggest concern is that he has no experience at any other position. He's made it clear that he wants to spend atleast 1-2 years giving RB a shot. Let's say he did have the mentallity to play LB, who would he play in front of? Foster, and the other possibilities we have at LB this year? Last years LBer haul?
The only thing I could see would be TE or Hback, but like I said before who knows if he can catch or even block.
The guys a great athelete, I'm just not sure where he would fit in at UA.

He will not play WR. Kid is 240lbs right now, and will likely be 250 in college. How many 250lbs WRs are there?

Alshon Jeffery was pretty close.

AMM, not trying to gain sympathy here, but could you inform your Auburn brethren that I don't give out biased QB assessments? I tried diplomacy in yalls 2013 recruiting thread, but I've been met with the customary skepticism seeing as I'm an Alabama fan.

Whoa
So we only have 2 D commits so far.

They won't listen.
The same happens over here though. I could be discussing something with someone in here and Trey will but in and tell me to discuss it elsewhere without saying shite to the other people.
Just ignore them.
They're good guys.

Megatron is about 235-240, but I can't think of anyone else.

I have to disagree with you there. Most of the sites list him as sub 4.6 and his speed really jumps out to me in his film. He has the size of an H-back/TE and the speed of a WR so I think both are possibilities. What remains to be seen is how well he runs routes, catches, and blocks. If he doesn't get any bigger, he could be a WR in the Calvin Johnson mold

Not after this weekend.

TTs I tried to be diplomatic over there but, goddamn dude, it's like they see the "tide" in my name and the script A next to it and they automatically assume I'm trolling. Wtf?

I like a good O but Defense is my name.

I can't say for sure UJ has the same problem, but there is a disconnect between practices and games. Not that he's not good or lazy on field, but he supposedly is amazing during practices. He stood out to several coaches last year visiting for other prospects. Most didn't know who he was on the field, although truth be told it was his 1st or 2nd year playing football.
Again, I'd like to see a productive Senior year before I commit to "wanting" him. Looks like most teams are taking the same approach...

With our offensive class almost complete, the majority of our remaining commits will be defensive players. It's going to be fun to see how it all plays out.

I don't know if he has the hands THEY DON'T THROW THE DAMN BALL, I just meant that is the only comparison after the handoff he looks like a physical WR.
And to be BRUTALLY honest, his vid is THE MOST damn aggravating I have seen out of a prospect this year, reminds me a bit of James Wilder Jr WITHOUT any speck of experience at LB (who Wilder was PHENOMENAL at on film) very good OL gets him to the 2nd level and he is really slow and atrocious technique as a runner. I really don't understand 5 star status other than yds and TDs, hell some guys film that got processed before they even HIT campus at Bama look better than him at RB honestly, remember Ivan Matchett?
really hope we don't take him honestly and that is odd for me to say about a 5 star or whatever he is but I REALLY don't see it, especially if he us so determined to play RB in the SEC, yah not gonna happen, Wilder was able to get away with it in the ACC at FSU, and he is more athletic

I'm sure Big Mike Williams is up there.
He got up to 270 as a WR and still got an offer from the Titans a few years ago...
ETA: He's listed at 241.
