I'll see what I can do. It definitely won't be tonight. We are still at the baseball fields.

Yeah, you can see it in his neck and arms, looks weird. Still has a gut though.

Ya, whenever you get the chance. Thanks.

I think you'll be impressed. He operates from under center a lot, and he has an absolute cannon.

Had some catching up to do and a couple of thoughts

I heard the reason Barron ended up at Tampa was because they got suprised by Dallas trading up. They felt they could drop back and still get Claiborne at 7. When Dallas jumped up they just went with the next guy on the board with Barron. Came from the guys at Walterfootball and they know their stuff most of the time. I don't care nor know how real that is and no one will ever know because it's not like the Bucs would admit that publically. I'd rather Claiborne be at Dallas. As a Saints fan I can't cheer for anything TB unless we need them to win.

Melvin Jones is a stud. I've heard the grade thing before and tend to believe it(talk from those around is that Bama is willing to work around his issues) but don't think it is the reason he hasn't been offered. The staff is holding to their word to Beckwith of not offering another instate LB(at least for now until they convince him DE is the better fit at LSU). I don't agree with it at all because Jones has so many more spots he could play. His versatility makes him a much more valuable prospect. 6'3 245 with his athlatic ability lends itself to many possibilities. LB, DE, DT, TE or FB even. Jack of all trades and for my money a better prospect than Beckwith. I'd take him in a minute and anyone that says otherwise either doesn't know what they're seeing when watching film or don't understand just how valuable a guy like Jones is.

Agree with you guys on Allen. He was born to play the rush LB in a 3-4 whether it be Bama's Jack or UF's Buck.

Were you guys referring to Raheem Falkins being offered by USC? If so I don't get it at all. They have Massington who is a better prospect and have a ton of CA kids that are better. Unless it's a play for his brother or one of his future teammates, it's puzzling with their numbers. Bama could afford to take him with the depth you have and the ability to take full classes but USC can't afford to take that risk.

Back at home finally been gone AALLL DAAAAY. Had some very interesting stuff today though, met ArDarius Stewart at WalMart, talked to him about an hour really cool, absolutely STACKED easy to see why we accepted his commitment because of how good a shape he is in and how smart he is about football, got a good head on his shoulders, also told me Matthews is SUPPOSED to visit, and Allen called coaches to come down this weekend to commit, also told me a few others he had heard we were gonna land from coaches including Bateman and McNeil and how he is really excited talking to Coach Nuss about how much more the WRs are gonna be used this year and input of a whole set of plays for TJ Yeldon as a slot and all kind of awesome stuff

Also my dad went to Fultondale before he moved my family to Foley/Fairhope. My cousins go to Mortimer Jordan, very familiar with the area, lots of family there and always go there when im up at Tuscaloosa during school year.

Fanva not sure if you could tell but I'm a huge Tampa fan and good friends with Curt Jarvis played 8 yrs in Tampa and for Bama, anyway he's good friends with Dominik, told him that both guys were pretty much 1A and 1B D prospects, 1st plan was to trade up to go get Trent if we didnt have to surrender many picks, but Cleveland had more picks to give so they made the deal and when they were considering Claiborne vs Barron a few things had happened earlier that week like releasing the starting S and coming out about Mo's Wonderlic test, but putting all cards on the table moved them in favor of Barron because A) He was a senior leader and play caller on D, Mo wasn't, B) Barron was the best prospect at a stronger position of need also that was a very weak draft for that position, arguably 2 (I thought 3) starters for the future, while this and next years CB drafts are very strong, C) Barron displayed a level of physicality the secondary particularly his position was lacking, Claiborne is a phenomenal coverage corner but his only weakness is tackling skills particularly against the run. Dom was sweating bullets once the Cowboys traded up over him because he honestly thought they were gonna tale Barron so he was happy when they took Claiborne and he used that 4th rd pick to turn into a move back over Giants to take Doug Martin.

Just curious BWB, how does ArDarius know this stuff? Did he say that the staff told him or is he talking to the other recruits?

Mostly coaches talks to Coach Nuss and Coach Burton, Coach Pruitt and also calls and reaches out to some recruits, has a good relationship with Cooper Bateman he said, talks to him about once a month, also Jason Smith and a few other AL recruits, asked him about Foster also and he gave me some confidence said he met Blaise Taylor at a camp last year and didn't like him lol said he trash talked too much, hadn't met Cam Luper, but said he heard that both those kids because of their dads are ROYALTY at that school so he isn't surprised to see him step right in and become good buddies

Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Good to know our future QB commit is bonding with his future WR.

this is where i expected Yeldon to make an impact when he first came in. but the spring happened and my expectations and everyone else's went through the roof. i think TJY will be very effective in the slot. he could be a guy defenses have to be worried about on every play, ala percy harvin. He's also big enough to be an effective blocker from the slot.

Just a thought with no inside info behind it but... I would expect the degree to which the TJY slot package gets deployed may depend on how well Brent Calloway develops at H-back?
