Watching the Bateman highlights I have one big issue with him. The kid does a good job of reading the defensive possitioning and matchups pre snap BUT you can tell who is going to get the ball because once he picks the match-up he calls for the snap and locks onto that WR. That will be a habit Nuss will have to break in a hurry.

Here's your context on the Liner pic. Saw it on Reggie Ragland's twitter a couple hours ago. Mutual friend of theirs must've tweeted it and he responded.

Conversation went like this:

Mutual friend: WTF ???? That's not auburn *link to pic*
Reggie: hahahahahahahahaha lol. y'all silly.
Mutual friend: lol I think he changed his mind bruh
Reggie: oh my bad, when he do that?
Mutual friend: naw I think he just being funny .. But he Bama down right na
Reggie: oh ok I got you
Mutual friend: bet but you need to talk to him
Reggie: I been trying to fam
Mutual friend: he said he Finna hit you up bruh

Meh. He's a HS QB. I really wouldn't worry about him locking onto receivers at this point. If he comes to Bama and becomes the next John Parker "I didn't know we had receivers not named DJ Hall or Julio Jones" Wilson, there will be a problem.

they were probably just kidding around, but he's liking bama these days. guy tweeting is obviously a bama fan trying to get reggie to call him. last line is saying liner is gonna give ragland a call.

doesn't really mean anything, but i know what an explosive topic this can be. and it's obviously not as much of a done deal as the most optimistic auburn writers would have you believe.

A post from the Crimson Caravan in Orlando

quote:

I don't think any info posted here is confidential and most of the info has already been shared in some format on this board before so I think it's ok to share.

On Duron Carter (although he never mentioned his name, he just referred to a certain suspended WR): any player that doesn't do what he is supposed to do won't be on the team. If you don't go to class you won't play. If you don't do the things off the field that are required you can't be trusted to do the right things on the field. Example: if you are supposed to run a 10 yard route but instead run an 8 yard route and the DB picks the ball off the QB looks bad but its the receiver's fault. You have to be trusted to do your assignment and that starts off the field

On Philip Sims: Sims is a good talent and was just a little behind AJ talent wise. Sims has some family that is ill and the family wants him closer to home. Sims loves Alabama and Saban wishes him all the best and thinks this might be the best thing for him.

On coordinators: Alabama does not hire "independent contractors" to come in and do their thing. Alabama hires coordinators to come in and teach the Alabama system.

On the 2010 team: the team got complacent after the 09 championship and allowed entitlement to set in. This is what resulted in the 3 losses. Alluded to the Michigan State game as what the team could do when they got focused.

On his favorite player to coach: Saban mentioned Junior Seau first and stated how it was a very sad thing to hear about his passing. Didn't answer the question specifically but did mention Seau, Jason Taylor, Julio Jones, and Rolando McClain as some memorable players he coached.

On physical football: apparently Bill Parcells chewed Bill Belichick out for not playing physical football and just letting Brady sit back their in the shotgun and throw the ball.

Oh mah gawd I didn't even think about that. Why couldn't he have waited one more night to insult GP. I blame her for the magic that we missed because of it.

Haven't seen Memphis on here in a while either did he get banned too?

ETA- Loves me some mutha elfin payday

Also on Saban and Seau dude was a consummate pro and one of the most violent LBs I ever watched play and one of the nicest guys off the field, I still don't think it was suicide too many weird things about it signaling otherwise. The 2 most moving things I've seen are his mothers speech to everyone because anyone who knew him knew he lived 110% for THAT woman and was a complete and total momma's boy so that was hard to watch without balling and seeing Marcellus Wiley choking up on ESPN saying he wishes there was something he could've done since he is always upbeat and positive ALL the time, first time I've seen him get really emotional. But that man who was USC's original #55 and the Chargers greatest player of all time will sorely missed. R.I.P. Junior Seau
