I was out of the loop after 4 yesterday, and I was wondering the same thing when I was getting caught up on the last couple of pages.

I don't know but they seem awefully defensive about Lutz and obviously anyone who disagrees with them on his ability is very, very agnry

Huntsville (Ala.) offensive lineman Grant Hill was one of a handful of Alabama commitments visiting the Capstone on A-Day. Meeting fellow offensive line commit Bradley Bozeman and spending a significant portion of time with head coach Nick Saban stood out to the 6-foot-5, 315-pounder.

Grant Hill and Bradley Bozeman met for the first time at A-Day.

“I got to meet Bradley Bozeman, the other offensive line commit. We talked about how our seasons went- his team won state, so he was excited about that. I talked to Coach Saban a lot. It was good to catch up with the coaches,” said Hill.

“Coach Saban talked about how he’s excited about me coming down there. He said I looked good since I’ve lost a little weight. We talked about track season and stuff like that- nothing real big. I got to talk with Coach (Lance) Thompson and Coach (Jeff) Stoutland. Coach Stoutland talked about how things are going and how they’re going to lose some starters next year.”

Hill enjoyed the game and like most visitors, singled out the atmosphere in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“It was a great atmosphere. I thought the defense looked good and the offensive line looked especially strong. I thought everybody looked good. I was enjoying the atmosphere, really.”

Falkins returns to Capstone

New Orleans (La.) Carver wide receiver Raheem Falkins was one of three prospects to Alabama at the Crimson Tide’s junior day in back in late January. The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder returned to Tuscaloosa for the first time since his commitment and relished his time at the Capstone.

“It was my first time going back there since I committed. I’ll be going back for the camp. I got down there and went to the game and they had a big barbeque afterwards,” said Falkins. “ I got to talk with Coach Saban, my position coach, Coach (Mike)Groh, and my recruiting coach, Coach (Burton) Burns.

“Coach Saban just told me to keep up the hard work, have a good spring, and that he can’t wait to work with me. It was the same thing with Coach Burns. We were excited to see each other- he’s the one recruiting me, so there was a whole lot of love and excitement in the room.”

Falkins plans to be back in Tuscaloosa this summer for camp.
Meeting fellow New Orleans native and Alabama class of 2012 signee Landon Collins and experiencing the spring game were two more highlights of the Top247 wide receiver’s visit.

“This time I got to talk to Landon Collins. That was awesome, man. I didn’t know him before. We were talking about how we want to compete against each other,” detailed Falkins.

“The first I was in the stadium was the matchup against LSU. The spring game was lovely. I got to walk out there with thousands of fans watching me. It was cool. They came out and competed and fought for a job.”

Bozeman building relationships

Perhaps no class of 2013 Alabama commitment has been on campus as often than Roanoke (Ala.) Handley offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman. Like Hill and Falkins, Bozeman was able to meet at length with members of the Crimson Tide coaching staff in addition to taking in the spring game.

“It was another great visit. I talked with Coach Saban, Coach Stoutland, and all the coaches. The coaches told me I looked really good. I’m down to about 305 now and they told me I look great. They’re coming to see me this spring. We start on April 30 and our spring game is against Pinson Valley on the 18th of May.

“The team looked pretty good to me. I enjoyed the game. I also got to meet Grant Hill and saw the cornerback from New Jersey (Anthony Averett). Grant seems like a really good guy.”

well he is the best player on their team. i can understand them being so defensive over the one bright spot on their team. the auburn hierarchy of talent is laughable. its funny to see them excited about such a crappy group of players

1. Jerkinmygherkin
2. The Great Lemon
3. Transfer Fullback
4. A reciever who doesnt have a QB who can get him the ball
5. A handful of redshirt freshman

yes SIR Trey SIR

Yeah Falkins rumors are totally untrue, he's supposed to be pretty good this year & he has size, seems underrated like I remember the HB7 killer Kevin Norwood was coming out of D'albertville? I believe?

Because it is TTs lifelong crusade to get into a dumbfrick argument with any Bama fan that makes a biased homer statement.

He will be in here soon to defend why he has posted a couple hundred times about Auburn recruiting in a Bama recruiting thread. He has a bat signal for that shite.

Anyway....regarding Howard's comments that started off that discussion. Is he just buying the negative recruiting from Auburn's coaches or something? I don't see how anyone who has watched a couple of Bama games over the last 2 years could have missed the fact that Smelley was motioned on pretty much every snap.

The only thing I can think of is that we don't motion our TE or H-back wide very often. We motion of shift them just about every play but it's typically from outside one OT to the other.

Way to call me out because I was the only one arguing.

Solid job. Even Chilld agrees that cajunsuck needed to GTFO, because he warned him of the same thing in this exact thread earlier. But by all means, jump on TTsTowel.
