I agree and do not think RN did anything rash. He had stated all along that playing with family/and or friends was always something he wanted.

Well I'm sorry maybe Rash was the wrong word and I agree with you (shocker) WDE

Still haven't heard whole story on this one, but offering all teammates and Conn the DB coach job helped just a little bit I think

Who are yall looking to close with?
Will Crayton get a scholly?
Has Henry committed?

Could Sal smash AU DL hopes and reel in Lawson and Liner??
It's already in the works. Luckily for us, they're both recruiting replacements (Adams, Brantley, etc) for us when they flip. Such kind souls
But on a serious note, if either Lawson or Liner flip to UT, I will no longer follow recruiting.

JMHO:
24-26
Josh McNeil, Derrick Henry, Matthew Thomas, DeMarcus Walker, Antonio Conner (not calling him a lock TTs), Brendan Langley (I know his teammate was offered by UGA), Robert Foster
No

Lawson is way more likely to flip to UT than Liner is, but Liner is a threat to flip to UA, either way AU is recruiting at a high level on DL

I've been trying to find out for the past year and I'm convinced that no one really knows with absolute certainty. But I've surmized that backcounting is allowed from the fact that UGA appears to be taking around 30 this year

From what I understand, it is a hard and fast 25 limit. However, there is some language about the date range for the 25 limit. I am wondering if that has left a loophole for back counting. Anyone with a good understanding and summary of the rule want to help out?

The new term is midyear exemption. It allows a team to basically backcount a player to the previow class if they did not fill that class to 25 and have room under the current 85 to do so. The player also has to be an EE.

I'm not worried at all

22-23, some say 25 though
quote:
Who are yall looking to close with?
roughly:
D.Walker
J.McNeil
D.Henry
KSM
a WR(Kamara,Foster, Taj Williams)
a DB(Fischer, White, Cook, Langley, Conner)
That's 24, but some are grade risks and the nonspecific positions are not definite.

Doubt it, just hasn't impressed the staff in camp. I think he'll have to spend he's career trying to be a penetrator despite being built like NG. He's fricking strong, but leverage will always be a question with his foot. He plays past it in HS, but what about when he plays people in college?
And I like him as a player FWIW, I hope he proves me wrong.

Has Henry committed?
Not yet.

So it is the same as before except that there also has to be room under the 85?
Makes sense and is a good rule. However, do you think it may lead to coaches pulling scholarships from players after the first semester? Mid-year processing if you will.
