I'm sure they'll both make exceptional RBs at the next level.

I swear people will argue about anything to make it look better for their school. Does anyone know what a composite 5 star means or number one composite running back mean ? It means the average of all sites he’s the best !

Oklahoma secures commitment from Taylor Tatum, beating USC for 247Sports' No. 1 RB That was from Steve Wiltfong .
It’s Oklahoma for Longview (Texas) High blue-chipper Taylor Tatum, 247Sports’ No. 1 running back in the 2024 recruiting class, who announced his commitment to the Sooners on Friday over his other finalist USC.
Don’t be in denial LSU fan.

You're right. It's not that I think rankings are worthless, more times than not, they get it right. Sometimes it's not rocket science. My cousin is best friends and went all the way through school with Trevor Lawrence. I met him several times. I could have told you when he was in the 9th grade that he was going to be a star. But my WIFE could have told you that! lol It was that obvious.

But sometimes its not so obvious and the rankings just completely miss the boat. Bennett is the obvious poster child for that, but Ladd McConkey had ZERO stars and his biggest scholly offer was Univ of Chattanooga before his coach convinced UGA that he was an overlooked player that was going to be a star somewhere.

I've watched Talyor tatum, Caden durham, and Kedren young for 2 years now. It's 1.Young 2.Durham 3.Taylor in TX.

Hate to say it but he will not be a successful RB based solely on his name. Taylor Tatum could be a good basketball player, golfer, or TikToker, but no Taylor Tatum will ever be a RB of any significance. Self fulfilling prophecy and whatnot

Texas already has commitments for their top 2 RB's and is done for 2024. Given RB Coach Choice's recruiting chops, no one questions his judgement.

With that said, I have not seen Kedren Young's name mentioned on Surly Horns in 6+ months, if at all, which I take to mean that Texas never had any meaningful interest.

Given the previous recruiting fiasco's w/ Zach Evans & Ruben Owens, Texas places a lot of value on high character guys.

That's all I got.

Young had offers from Texas,Tcu,Texas tech, and A&M which is all the big TX schools.Texas was after Gibson and the underrated running back out of Arizona all along they never wanted Young,Tatum, or Durham fwiw Taylor and Young are both high character guys. Tbh Gibson is a top 3 running back in my eyes, he's versatile, explosive, physical, and elite agility and elusiveness. My list goes like this 1.Gibson 2. Kam Davis 3. Natheniel Fraizer, 4 K.Young 5.Jordan Marshall 6. Cadeb Durham 7. Taylor Taylor 8. Dwight Phillips 9. Jordan Lyle 10. Chauncey Bowens.

Ou has a garbage baseball team, so that’s why he’ll be on the team huh. He couldn’t sniff the batters cage at lsu

Baseball sealed the deal because of how OU handled Kyler who along with being qb played baseball and school made time for him to do baseball and it didn’t take a back seat to football.
Don’t y’all have a completely different coaching staff now?

That’s a pretty silly reason.

Skip Johnson was an assistant on Pete Hughes' OU coaching staff in 2017 and became head coach for the 2018 season, Kyler's final season.

I would imagine the football staff has authority on this. No baseball coach is going to tell his start player not to play football when he’s the #1 rb in the country

OU’s last football staff allowed Kyler to play baseball. That has nothing to do with this new staff. Surely there are plenty SEC programs who would allow this kid to play both.

I’m just saying using Kyler as a reason is silly. It has nothing to do with anything.

We said the same thing about LSU last year when we was in the championship game ……. Don’t be a retard …. We had like 7 players drafted that year. Beat Of course we had a dip this year but still made regionals. OU baseball is in good hands shows how little you know about baseball.

"165-170 and 10.4 100 meter speed "

From a recent tweet...

2024 RB commit Dwight Phillips. He’s up to 179 pounds and that’s about nine pounds more than last fall. He said he could hit the track right now and clock a 10.1 something in the 100 meters.
