Not sure why you are asking me. I don't know if he is or is not. But, thta seems to be the perception.

He was a great NFL player, but that does not necessarily equate to coaching. A lot of people do equate it that way, though, and if a recruit sees it that way then that is all that matters to that recruit, right?

Why else would a kid go to Jackson State? His perception of Sanders.

I’m guessing Barstool offered a deal others wouldn’t. I’d bet on some sort of documentary or exclusive media content tied to him going there along with the cash

2 reasons:
1. Isn’t Deion employeed by Barstool? I know he fersure was at one point.

2. Barstool is a content machine and it’s how they make money. This is amazing content for them lol

Cannot imagine the melt/ridicule here if it was an SEC school and not FSU

It has nothing to do with Prime.

He got a huge NIL deal

It definitely had something to do with Prime and HBCU connection, other schools could've matched from a financial standpoint I'm sure

No, not really. Lots has to happen over the next three years for him to be a top 10 pick (and I'm not saying it's more likely to happen at FSU than Jackson State). But this idea that just because a kid is crazy talented that it doesn't matter what college choice he makes just isn't reality.

The dude will be fine regardless. He is a top 10 pick wherever he goes. He doesn't need FSU, Alabama, UGA, etc. If he likes Deion and JSU, good for him.

eh, #1 recruits out of high school aren't shoe-ins to be top 10 draft picks. For instance, Nolan Smith was the #1 overall recruit in 2019 and is projected as a 3rd rounder this year. Trenton Thompson was the #1 overall recruit in 2015 and went undrafted. Robert Nkemdiche was drafted at the tail end of the 1st round. Dorial Green-Beckham went at the end of the 2nd round. Ronald Powell was drafted in the 5th round. And that's just guys in the last 10 years or so. Going to JSU is idiotic for this kid. Going there for the short-term gain of an NIL deal with Barstool is a really dumb risk with the possible effects he's having on his draft status a few years down the road. I only looked back to 2005, but there were only 2 non-FBS players drafted in the 1st round and both were QBs (Trey Lance and Carson Wentz)

If I was a betting man...if he signs with JSU, he'll stay there one year for the NIL deal and his appearance on their reality TV show and then transfer out to a P5 school.

I think Hunter and Deion's son, the QB, will leave JSU and go to FSU when Deion is named the head coach. Norvell is on the clock.

IDK, Barstool is producing a reality show of the JSU team, and they very well could have offered an NIL no one else would match.
