What say you Vol fans? Seems like the top prospects in state might be heading else where. That said UT legacy Deangelo Gibbs will probably end up in Knoxville, I guess it could be even steven but still a long way to go til NSD.

I'm hoping we can snag him back. If we still had Austin Thomas he'd still be committed to us. Just have to keep getting him back on campus.

Yea it looks like it could be a UGA/LSU battle, Kirby wants him at DB. After his visit a few weeks back to Athens he brought his family with him on a surprise visit last week and met with academic advisors, ect. Think this might not be settled til NSD.

Thigpen apparently did something that really fricked up mid-state recruiting some time in the last 18 months (after he got NROY for that 14 class he signed from the mid state).
Phillips fell in our lap because of the Chavis drama in 15.
That is why the Shoop hire is so big, probably the best Mid TN recruiter in the game.
I think assuming we have a solid season we will end up with Stevens, Gray and Smith.

You might but I would not get too cocky, let's not forget that Kirby is a pretty relentless recruiter himself and Stevens does not even have UT in his top 5 at the moment.

When it comes to Ty Chandler, Tee Higgins, and Deangelo Gibbs. I am confident they will end up in Knoxville. Stevens I think will too but who knows.

He committed to LSU for a reason at one point. Will come down to LSU/Georgia imo.

Anyone who says this about *any* school in regards to college recruiting has not been following recruiting for very long. Too many moving parts and 17-18 year old kids don't always make logical decisions. At most you could "feel good about your chances"... other than that you're just kidding yourself.
