I mean you are just completely putting words in my mouth. I have said tons of times that we sucked and wouldn’t have been a great team regardless.

We would have beaten state and Missouri with all our players.

I feel like we probably beat A&M with Brennan too based on how ineffective their offense was against a defense as bad as ours but that’s a toss up.

I know the mindset of college kids, teams, and the effects of winning and losing. It's a big part of my job. I'll be SHOCKED if UF is motivated at all after their loss to BAMA. If UF plays well, even if they lose, it'll be one of Mullen's best games coaching all season.

These kids have been playing with the goal of a championship, not some consolation game against a shitty Oklahoma team no one cares about. We'd all like to believe the psychology doesn't matter, and that these kids are always going to come out with their hair of fire just because they love the university, but it's simply not true.

If you clowns didn't say this same shite about every SEC runner up prior to a bowl game in which they might lose, I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. But you do say this about every SEC runner up prior to a bowl game they might lose, like clockwork. Half Florida is sitting out. This won’t be close more than likely.

Truth is now with playoffs the bowl games become irrelevant now except to teams who need the positive momentum or perhaps teams who are graduating most of their players to NFL or senior season and would like to get young players some meaningful snaps.

I don’t care what team someone is a fan of, when a top ten matchup in the Cottonbowl is called “meaningless” all the way up to game day, it’s just sad. Not what CFB used to be that’s for sure. I mean if that game is meaningless then what is a game in September against Charleston Southern or Missouri State?
