What does that mean? Florida is clearly the underdog here.
It'd be like if A&M was playing UNC minus their LT, LG, C and RT.
Or like if LSU just played their whole season int his same position and then lost a QB right?

Who besides Ja'Marr Chase was out on offense when you lost to Mississippi State (3-7) and Missouri (5-5)?
LSU stunk this season from the start. Your players and coaches didn't care during the offseason to the same extent they did in 2019 and it showed. It is what it is.

The entire country has watched everyone run through OU's defense for the past 15 years or so. Didn't LSU have 50 by halftime last season?

What narrative is that?
You seem sure of a lot of things. I get that you're prideful and puffed up on your own sauce. Watch it happen anyway though.

Two interesting plot lines I'm looking forward to seeing:
(1) OU defense - They're a victim of their past reputation, as they usually have playmakers that are NFL draft worthy, but as a unit are characterized as "soft". That is NOT the case this year. They actually shut some good offenses down. Will be interested to see how they fare against Trask who is crazy short-handed but very deserving of his Heisman finalist status.
(2) Bowl games - Mullen has been tremendous in bowl games (2-0 in NY6). Lincoln Riley has not (0-3, all in the playoffs, most of which weren't close). OU has lost 5 of their last 6, with a lot of those being blowouts and the lone win being against a half-decent at best Auburn in 2016. Maybe Mullen's prep has just been that good and maybe OU's just had bum luck playing the most stacked teams in the playoffs. Guess we'll find out

The offense wasn’t the problem in those games and you know it
What is missing players on offense just way more detrimental than losing players on defense?
Plus we were missing 1 or 2 olinemen for both of those games and Racey McMath who was supposed to be our second WR was injured the whole season

Good points. It will be interesting. Florida still has talented guys at skill spots, but they go from maybe the scariest passing attack in America to probably just a good passing attack (and less explosive). When you combine that with their lack of a run game and defense, that is asking a lot to win with against Oklahoma.
However, as noted above, maybe Mullen plays Emory Jones some more and goes back to his spread option roots.

Oh we definitely do. But our offense wasn’t the problem in any losses to bad teams except Auburn and that was after we lost Brennan

I don't really know what we are even talking about here. LSU's defense was the worst defense on planet earth for the first 7 weeks of the season. With all your opt outs that unit is still bad. Ika, Shelvin and Kary Vincent ain't taking that from the #97 scoring defense to the #30 scoring defense.
LSU's offense put up yards but was incredibly inefficient against Miss St and Missouri (5/27 (19%) on 3rd down) (3/7 TDs in the Red Zone). They had a +5 turnover margin in those 2 games and still lost them both.
LSU wasn't good in 2020. They might have been a little better if they hadn't had kids opt out. They still would not have been anything other than a borderline Top 25 team.

Good luck to your Sooners sir!

I haven’t read all the clips but it almost seems Florida doesn’t even want to play. I expect OU to win easily. Hope I’m wrong.

Did you actually pay attention to lsu? Stingley was injured against state and stayed injured pretty much all season. At various points Flott and Ricks went out with injuries at well.
Of course Kary Vincent and Stingley would have made a difference in the state game you have to be dense to believe otherwise
And losing Chase, Marshall, McMath, and Gilbert is just as bad as what Florida doesn’t have for this game

Alright man - as usual, you are right, LSU was actually really good/better than others are saying/others don't get it.
Sounds good.
None of this conversation/thread had anything to do with LSU.
