OK. Now that I understand, I'll offer a rebuttal.
He was a decent cover corner but he wasn't asked to do this exclusively. His playmaking ability, which changed momentum of games, was not matched. Whether you judge him on skills or playmaking, he deserves recognition.
For example, Tim Tebow was great at what he did. Average to below average passer but I still qualify him as a QB. A damn good college QB too.

Let's look at Tebow on a per-play basis and see how he weighs in.
Let's disqualify Cam because he only played one year too.

Tebow and Cam were actually effective in the second half of their games. See: bama, lsu, florida

10. Dexter McCluster (prob doesn't deserve top 10 but loved watching that lil guy)
First player in SEC history to rush for 1,000 yards and have 500 receiving yards in the same season. This while playing for Houston Nutt, who always took half a season before he finally put him in at RB.
Also, is Patrick Willis an option? Played on terrible teams but was very productive.

I'll just do guys that have finished their college careers so as to not put someone like Clowney or Manziel on the list.
In no order:
Newton
Tebow
Harvin
DMac

I have no idea how you can put any RB in front of McFadden, much less 3.

Berry is the best DB the SEC has had during this stretch, not Peterson.
Peterson getting more love itt is most likely due to Peterson being the better pro. Though Berry has been a Pro Bowler every year he has been in the NFL.
Keep in mind Berry played three different positions (CB as a frosh, FS a a sophomore, and SS as a junior) while PP played all CB.
Berry (39 games)
245 tackles
17.5 TFL
3 sacks
14 INTs
494 INT return yards
3 INT TDs
2 FR
103 FR return yards
2x Consensus All-American
Thorpe Award
SEC Defensive Player of the Year
Number 5 Overall Pick, NFL Draft
Peterson (39 games)
135 tackles
3 TFL
7 INTs
171 return yards
1 INT TD
1 FF
Bednarik Award
Consensus All-American
Thorpe Award
SEC Defensive Player of the Year
Number 5 Overall Pick, NFL Draft

I think he would be top 15, especially since after this season he'll be one of the winningest in league history with most of the passing records in his name.
Mostly because he has been a 4 year starter. He's no Cam or Timmy T.

Take away any great player's "playmaking" ability and they are just a player.
Manziel is a great playmaker. He is not a freak athlete. He knows how to make plays, and as a QB, he gets a lot more chances to make plays than any other position.

Nobody is mentioning the best linebacker to come out of the SEC since the streak started? Patrick Willis. Do better
