In the current system you don’t play cross conferences. Why is Bama #1 nstead of Clemson? The SEC champ should play other conference champs, not each other over and over. You had your chance and blew it. A few years ago, same shite was said, and Ezekiel Elliot beat the doors off Bama

Eye test tells me UGA should be a Playoff team but the results tell me they shouldn’t.

I don't disagree that UGA is one of the 4 "best" teams, but to use a close game with Bama as evidence doesn't hold water. Syracuse played Clemson close. Army played Oklahoma close. USC and Vandy played Notre Dame close. Nobody is going to argue that any of those teams are close to one of the 4 best. You can use the argument that UGA won 11 games pretty convincingly, but how do you ignore a beatdown by LSU?
