LSU was the worst road trip I have ever experienced. I got cussed out by some coon arse sitting behind me the entire game when I was with my girlfriend. Not to mention the pregame shite talking. It was miserable. A bunch of damn jorts and football jerseys. I was expecting more class, but it turns out half the people in the stadium don't seem to have their GED much less attend/ed LSU.

Educated LSU fans will admit this for the most part, the non-alumni part of the fanbase is and has always been very trashy. it's just swelled up since 2003.

I've been to every SEC stadium.

Vandy-(probably 10 times, grew up around Nashville) Don't go. Not worth it.
UK- (4 Trips) Much more fun than I expected. Good BBQ sandwiches.
UGA-Been 7 times (every game since '98) always say I'll never go back. Always go back. Worst fan base in the SEC in my opinion.
USCe- (3 games) Nothing special at all.
UF- (4) Worth the trip. Fun all around. Sucks to lose there, which we've done a lot, but a cool place nonetheless. Awesome when you win there though.
AUB- (3 trips) Lost every time. Last year I couldn't give lower level tickets away. Not a bad gameday experience, pretty good tailgaiting, shitty nightlife.
LSU- (2 trips) Great tailgaiting, bad fans, OK nightlife, worth the trip.
Miss State- (1 trip) would never go back, worst SEC town by far.
Ole Miss- (3 trips) great atmosphere, hot women, worth the trip.
Arkansas- (2 trips) It's basically in Oklahoma. Fun trip though.

Oh, Bama, most of my memories were from when I was a kid and we played in B-ham. Shitty stadium in a shitty part of town. When I was in college I was so drunk I don't really remember. Alabama and Alabama fans make me sick so I try to forget. Worth a visit though.

7. Arkansas - My favorite road trip to take. Although I haven't experienced their fanbase in person since 2008. Our experience in 2006 and 2008 were top notch. Great fans, great people.

Thank you!

Dale - you Arkansas fans need to really push to get out of playing in Little Rock like Bama has done by getting out of playing at Legion Field. It's so much better going to another school and seeing their campus, visiting the sites at the school and aborbing some of the feel of the university that are missed by playing in Little Rock. Plus, Reynolds is a beautiful stadium as well as the town of Fayetteville.

The other southern state residents overall just seem more gentile than people from Louisiana and maybe Florida as well.

You have no idea how much better behaved LSU fans are now. You should have been around in the 70's and 80's.

Yes. That would have flooded the board with excited Aubbies.

You're doing it wrong. Follow me around Auburn for a night and you would change your mind.

I live in Phenix Shitty (about a 15 minute drive from AU) right now. Please take me somewhere worthwhile in this boring-arse region of this godawful state.

If i'm going to self criticize, i'll say BDS's student section is assholish on occasion but is sadly also the only section that is loud more than when the game is on the line/big time rivalry.

That's because a large portion of Alabama's student body are complete dick-holes (especially the Greeks).

I swear every time I go to a bar in T-Town, I'm ready to kill about 50 douche-bags before I even order my first drink.

Alabama - pretty meh. their tailgating could definitely use an upgrade. almost got into a fight with a 20-something dude and his dad in the stands when LSU won in 2005. all me and my friend were doing were cheering when LSU made a good play. they were pretty butthurt after the Tigers won

Auburn - 2004 was a terrible experience. tailgating was fun but the walk to and from the stadium and in our seats was garbage. douche bag AU fans all around. i got spit at after LSU loss when I was walking back to our tailgate spot alone. Aubies be tough when it's 5 against 1. 2010 @ Auburn was a much better experience. actually had some Auburn fans stop me and my group after the game to thank us for making the trip and talked about the game. nice guys. said they heard horror stories about opposing fans coming to the Plains and wanted to let us know not all Auburn fans were assholes.

Old Miss - one of the more boring tailgating experiences I've had. we set up away from the stadium and there was really nobody around. it seemed like there was the Grove and that was it. and even that was pretty lame considering the praise I've heard bestowed upon it. inside the stadium was fun (if you were an LSU fan). the facilities were shite and all the Old Miss fans disappeared because LSU won 40-7.

Arkansas - nothing really positive or negative to say about the trip I made there in 2004. LSU won by almost 30 points. Hog fans were pretty tame, if not the most redneck bunch I've ever come across

Vanderbilt -

Florida - went to the Swamp in 2004 when LSU won in a thriller. it rivaled Tiger Stadium as far as in-game atmosphere. tailgating was pretty awful. they just don't get into it as much as other SEC schools. really nice campus though and some hot women.

and just for fun:

I've been to Vandy and they're fans were cool, maybe because they weren't expecting much that year. I did see a near fight in the bathroom between 2 Rebs picking on 1 Comm. I'd just walked in on it so I don't have the full story.

I did go to the LSU game this year and I didn't feel welcomed and the teasing was on the level of a privileged but despondent 12 year old boy. No real risk of violence. Some sorority girls yelled something at me and my disabled brother from a balcony. I chose to ignore them thinking that I was using their favorite tactic on them. But overall, I'd go watch another game at LSU if someone gave me the tickets.

When i smoked (cigs), I got in trouble on the Arkansas camps during the second Ole Miss break for lightning-- Nazi cop nearly arrested me. LSU fans would go to jail by the hundreds in Fayetteville.
