Since it's basketball season, I would like to see SEC fans come up with the best starting five that their respective schools could put on the court. I will start the fun with LSU:

Pete Maravich- guard
Chris Jackson-guard
Shaquille O'Neal-center
Bob Petit-forward
Rudy Macklin-forward

Tennessee (college positions):

Bernard King - Forward
Dale Ellis - Forward
Ernie Grunfeld - Forward
Chris Lofton - Guard
Allen Houston - Guard

No true center, so UT would have to play a small lineup and run people out of the gym.

I got to watch the Bernie and Ernie show while attending LSU; they were tough.

I don't think any program besides Kentucky could field a starting 5 that impressive.

That is a great five. I would have loved to watch Issel and Maravich square off in person.

Vern Fleming- Guard
Litterial Green- Guard
Willie Anderson- Forward
Dominique Wilkins- Forward
Alec Kessler/Trey Tompkins-Center

Honorable Mention- Jarvis Hayes, Damien Wilkins, Sundiata Gaines, Travis Leslie, Shandon Anderson.

That is about as good as UGA HoopDawgs get. We can claim "The Human Highlight Reel" though, so that is something.

I think I would find a spot for Gerald Wallace in there and let Releford or Dudley ride the pine. No true center needed.

Wat? I think Gerald Wallace and Antonio McDyess would be much more appropriate. Although if we're talking strictly their time on campus, I could live with Dudley over Wallace but Reggie King might be more deserving.
