I get what you're saying but Alabama ultimately showed it was the best team in the country. I doubt many of our rivals acknowledge that, but the hardware doesn't lie and it's the system we have for now. So that fact just kind of supersedes any relevance of the formal SEC Championship this year. I contend that first the BCS and certainly the expansion of the playoff has greatly diminished the relevance of conference championships.

What in the hell does this or Auburn generally have to do with anything that I just said? Was actually having an interesting discussion with Ross about the relative importance of the football championships won by Georgia and Alabama this year and you come running in "but but Auburn was pretty good!!!"
Switching to basketballl, considering Auburn's regular season SEC title, would you think that Alabama fans shouldbe beating their chest about going 500 against the champ?

Aubie got their shite pushed in by Clemson and UGA. Aubie lost to LSU. Bama beat LSU. Bama crushed Clemson in the playoff and beat UGA for the title. Bama lost 1 game, Aubie lost 4. Best team (Aubie) in the state my arse!

The cognitive dissonance that the tNational Champions receive for knowing that they weren’t the best team in the state just wont cease, so the fans are mindfricked into ignoring the H2H results and are doubling down on stupid via the transive property argument. Brilliant gameplan
