Advertisers care.
"We had 3 losses but we deserve it because of our brand/marketing!" is a bullshite take. frick that. Leveraging (or outright threatening) advertising/viewership as a reason to be allowed in the playoffs.
Merit based only. Win your games.
ESPN needs to get off y'all's dick already.

Both had a bad Florida loss on the road.

Sorry I didn’t spell it out.
Thought it was obvious.

It doesn't matter how many teams are in the playoff, 2, 4, 12, whatever it is at least one that DID NOT make the cut is going to be mad as hell and will present all manner of justifications for why they should have been included.
A few weeks ago Saban commented on College GameDay somewhat disparagingly about a show ESPN did on the teams that were left out of March Madness (and I suspect to much dismay of whoever in the booth was directing things because immediately everyone else at the table remarked how good the show was).
Sorry fans of the steer, it is your turn this year.

You are 100% missing the point.
We should (although we said we wont cancel the OSU and Mich games)
All this means is hopefully we wont schedule blue blood OOC games anymore. All we are saying is if the committee wont acknowledge SOS and OOC difficulty of game then why should anyone in the future?

This is such a silly take. If Texas is 10-2 they are in and we all know it, partially for reasons yall hate (Texas is a media darling and gets views).
what wussie whiners.
Bama also lost to a team first week, and that team turned out shitty. But you know WHAT?????
Bama DID something about it! They actually started playing really good football because they are a good team.
You are not. Texas played like losers most the year, and looked like it 'til they became a national joke.
Whining like y'all do shows everyone exactly who Texas is. what an embarrasmemt.
