without looking at the stats id venture to say that lester has forced more turnovers than mathieu

Might need to look at the stats before you say something like that. Mathieu has 11 forced fumbles and 4 INTs in 2 seasons. He is only a few turnovers away from breaking the NCAA record, and he has only played 2 seasons. Lester is another turnover machine, but he isnt the master at it like TM7.

lol...we don't have play makers on defense? you'll see, just talking out of your arse we see. although I will give you this, it was fun seeing him get playmakered on during session 21-0.

He does a good job at stripping the football, but have they all resulted in a turnover? If so then yes, he has forced more than lester, but I doubt they were all recovered by LSU

I'll take Matt Barkley and his likely 3500 yards and 40 td's this upcoming season.

Yes, they all have resulted in a LSU recovery. He has 15 total turnovers in 2 seasons, with 11 forced fumbles, 8 fumble recoveries, and 4 INTs. I could be wrong, but i dont think a player gets credit for a forced fumble unless the D recovers it. Not sure though. Still, he is a few turnovers away from the record.

Whoever is the best offensive lineman in the country. That's who I'd take.

Lester career (2 full seasons) 10 ints 1 FR
Mathieu career (2 full seasons) 4 ints, 8 FR

They both take the football, they just do it in a different manner. The point being there are many other players around the country that would get nabbed up before TM7, as evidenced by the non-lsu responses in this thread

Haha thanks wasnt sure on the official ruling. And i totally agree that they both are playmakers, no matter what manner they do it in. And I totally agree with you. There are many other players in the country that I would take over TM7 to have for a year. TM7 wouldnt even be the guy i would take from LSU. I would go either Mingo or Montgomery before TM7.

OK so TM7 has 8 FR and 4 INTs, what about the 11 other forced fumbles he made that were recovered by LSU? He should still get credit for those that he forced but didnt recover.

I would include those, I just don't know how to find that stat, he's caused more turnovers than lester...he's just not the guy I would pick if every ncaa football player were in a pool and I could choose one for a year

i'd take amerson right after i took barkley, we could definitely use him to solidify the secondary vs Mizzou. that being said, i think the front 7 should do that for us

love the narrative gump nation is pumping. Nothing that happened in your rematch exposed his game. His game is blitzing, distrupting, and forcing fumbles better than anyone in LSU history. He didn't get to Bama in that game, most other teams have not been that lucky.

ETA: I'd bet LSU would be pretty happy with a team exposing its biggest playmaker needing two games to get a TD.

Previous player: Cam

Current: Jarvis Jones, I dont think a quarterback would even be able to drop back in the pocket with Mingo, Jarvis, and Sam
