No, he's not. He doesn't wear a knee brace and can actually throw the football.

He (Burrow) completed 57.8% of his passes last season. That's not remotely close to what whorn faces on a weekly basis in their own league. That's K-State level passing. K-State is dead last in the BIG XII in passing.

Think aggy cares about this game more than their game with Clemson. This is obvious.

Well, duh. They can't win against Clemson, and they can't lose against Texas.

Continuing to prove my point. You can throw out completion % statistics, and not understand the correlation between good defense and completion %. And you can continue to not understand power football as it relates to the passing game.

And finally, back to the point. You can decide for yourself if Taysom Hill is a great QB or a terrible QB. What do you think Hill’s completion percentage was? Is the 53.9% completion rate in 2013 impressive? But the thing is, Taysom Hill didn’t need to throw any passes to destroy tu... He had 259 of the 550 yards rushing for BYU and he had 129 passing yards.

We're a power football team. Tell me more about this concept of how it relates to QB accuracy and completion percentages.

WTF does Taysom Hill have to do with LSU/Texas this year?

Yeah, LSU wouldn't stand a chance with a dental student at QB going up against the Sooners with a Heisman winner QB.

...oh, wait.

Damn dude. You even responded to the post that referenced Taysom Hill wearing a knee brace.

Let me spell it out more C L E A R L Y for you.

Is Burrow’s 57.8% completion percentage amazing? No. But he can run the ball and throw the ball.

Completion percentage smack talk is a worthless argument. Especially when teams have proven that when they can run the ball, passing isn’t even necessary.

the media cock sucking is already starting, ESPN has them in the playoff for 2019.

LSU has to win this one, for the sanity of the country.

If you look at Joe Burrow's game stats, he did better against worse defenses. This should not shock anyone. The percentage also got better later in the year.

Miami ( #4 Total Defense) - 1st game at LSU: 45.8% - W
SELA: 50% - W
Auburn (#38 Total Defense): 44.1% - W
La Tech (#27 Total Defense): 57.1% - W
Ole Miss (#121 Total Defense): 72% - W
Florida (#28 Total Defense): 55.9% - L
Georgia (#13 Total Defense): 50% - W
MS State (#1 Total Defense): 57.1% - W
Bama (#16 Total Defense): 51.4% - L
Arkansas (#78 Total Defense): 71.4% - W
Rice: 71.4% - W
Texas A&M (#32 Total Defense): 65.8% - L
UCF (#95 Total Defense): 61.8% - W

This is not to say that his completion is rate is awesome. It's to illustrate the difference between top rated defenses and inferior defenses. It also illustrates that he doesn't need to throw for 60% to win nor does throwing for 60+% guarantee a win.

What was Texas's total defense? #67, slightly better than Arkansas. Well that was 2018. Texas only returns 3 defensive starters. LSU returns most of its offense.

I'm not going to argue that LSU has the better offense, but LSU's defense will be much, much better than Texas's defense.

The DL at Texas is terrible, and small like all BDF teams. LSU needs to just run the ball mercilessly from both RB and QB positions. Spread them out and BYU them to death

Their secondary is talented but inexperienced, and they have gotten no better in the time they have been there. That is because the coaching at Texas is crap. They lose any time they actually have to play a good team, and I expect nothing different here.

They really seem to think they have the BDF locked up next year, but Riley will make Herman his bitch with yet another first year starter QB.
