Yep. When Arkansas left the SWC the hardest part was not playing Texas in our big rivalry game every year.

The thing is, Texas isn't in the market for a full time OOC rivalry any more. They play 9 games in conference and with two rent a wins scheduled that only gives you one game a year to play with for P5 opponents. You don't want to tie yourself to one team for the next 20 years, even if it is someone that you have a big rivalry with.

Unless you are willing to roll the dice and drop one of your rent a wins that 9 game schedule really handcuffs your ability to play P5 teams.

Exactly! And I think that is where we are also.

Like y’all, we lost long standing rival Baylor whom none of us care about playing again. We traded Tech for LSU, which LSU is an older rival for us. So, instead of playing Tech and Baylor, we play y’all and LSU annually. That’s a good trade off, IMO.

We both lost playing tu, but as you said above, locking yourself into them for 20 years or so probably isn’t a good OOC scheduling philosophy at this point.

Yep. Texas is soft...unless they’re playing UGA.

Isn't LSU installing a new spread offense this upcoming season? Texas sees that kind of offense weekly in the big 12. I think LSU will win in a close game.

Texas is still on a sugar high from the bowl game. They lose 3 out of their 4 best O-Linemen and significant production on D.

The game is too early in the season for their youth to be discounted.

LSU wins by at least 10. 27-13 is my bet

LSU wins by 20 if they don’t commit a bunch of turnovers by trying to throw the ball too much

It'll be like the 2014 BYU game. If Taysom Hill can run for almost 300 yards, Joe Burrow will feast.

t.u. hasn't beaten a current member of the SEC in Austin since 2008:

2010: Texas A&M 24, t.u. 17
2013: Ole Miss 44, t.u. 23

TEXAS is trying to get the LSU/aggy refs to fix the game and be blind in their favor like they did for aggy. I’ve heard they are close to a deal, just a few thousand $$’S difference.

No, he's not. He doesn't wear a knee brace and can actually throw the football. U B fricked.
