Not the same. Bama still won the SEC that year.

Okay.

In 1997 Alabama football also lost to Louisiana Tech...
Then that following basketball season Alabama lost to a now closed School named American - Puerto Rico

Does that work better for you?

Dude thinks losing a regular season game in November is the same as losing to an Ivy League school in the tournament.

Murph4HOF stated

Trying to think of a more embarrassing pair of losses across CFB and MBB in a single school year for an SEC school

He didn't state " provide examples of an embarrassing football loss in the regular season and embarrassing lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament...."

And you lost the SECCG to a school that lost to Yale while UF lost to Colorado in the first round as well.

An early season OOC loss isn't as embarrassing as losing to an Ivy League school in the 1st rd of the NCAAT.
