Anyone see this quote in the TexasA&M thread?? Certainly appears to be a connection to this thread.
quote:
He told me that with all the media attention on the Cam Newton situation at Auburn along with the Will Lyles stuff and other things that “there are other allegations that will come out that will implicate 3-4 other SEC schools”, the SEC has shifted its attention to managing the fallout he said will likely come when these allegations hit.

That article is terrible. There's no way the Aggie beat writer knows any of that shite.

I'm not reading through all this, but based on the original tweet and singling out that it wasn't Ole Miss or Arky, my guess is it is some sort of story lumping AU, Bama, LSU, and Moo St. all together on certain shady practices, etc.

Funny how their "FACTS" change, everytime a little piece of their story crumbles

That would certainly jive with the length of time it's taken to put this supposed "10 story" together.... multiple schools/multiple allegations.

I thought that as well. But, stranger things have happened.

This would definitely be a big story.

It makes total sense actually. With the amount of publicity recent scandals have gotten, along with the press the SEC routinely gets? To come out with a story about the "dirtiness" of schools like LSU, AU, and Bama all at once? Yeah, I'd say that's a 10.

Was Toliver linked to Lyles at all?
6K for highlight film?
It wasn't just of Mettenberger. It was from all the JUCOs & high schools in the area.
eta: And no, Toliver was never linked to Lyles......... yet.
Lyles was also directly connected to Brandon LaFell and RJ Jackson.

Truth. Defense Secretary Robert gates posted on the TexAGS site under the screen name "Ranger" somethingorother...and the Oklahoma car dealership scandal that brought down a few of their players was broken by a poster on TexAGS whose girlfriend worked there.
Every once in a blue moon, people actually KNOW something.

What's the plan if Yahoo releases a story that implicates LSU, Alabama, and Auburn together in the biggest allegations of all time?
Do we all meet in Destin? Vegas?

Yep. The shotgun approach would be all wrong. A single bullet would be easier to convey and would be less open to attack.

If this is the case, we need a scapegoat....I volunteer MissSt since they haven't contributed anything worthwhile and Mullen got the ball rolling on the Cam Newton deal

Well, as they say "Misery Loves Company" ~
Wouldn't you Aubs just love for all of us to be lumped together in this shitstorm?
It would smother out a lot of the smoke that's been billowing out of the Barn for the past 8 months, wouldn't it?

I think this stuff would go back to before when Lyles was working primarily as a recruiting service employee (or the last year when he started his own company)... back when he was running football camps in Texas and had contact with dozens or hundreds of recruits
I'm surprised that more substantial dirt on Lyles has yet to be shown... it seems like there have been tons of people looking for it and yet the amounts of money he's been shown to received really wouldn't even make him solidly middle class (if this is his business)
Meanwhile you have texas boosters (Randy Rogers is a former coach/recruiting coordinator at Texas) running football camps and marketing himself as a way for kids to get noticed LINK . I dunno, I'm not saying he's necessarily dirty - its just that he is a UT guy and somehow his interactions with kids are ok but Lyles are not... I could see someone saying neither was OK more easily.
To me a big story that might also break would just be a look into the recruiting world 7 on 7 camps. These things go on all the time and have to be a major area of concern (esp where money is coming from and how kids are or are not being protected)
