I don't think anything relating to Cam is a 10

I believe this dude is over hyping his own story.
I suspect there will be embarrassments...but, hardly a 'huge' 10 of a story. What journalist telegraphs his punches this far out? NONE

This is the strangest argument of them all IMO. Breaking a money trail story with Cam would be the absolute definition of a 10. It would be the biggest single cheating scandal in the history of college football.
Agreed. With all the animosity towards the NCAA right now, it could potentially bring down the NCAA.

If it is us (LSU), how in the hell could u screw that up with the cupboard being so full when we changed coaches and all the momentum we had? Y pay players?

Well, SMU was a combination of things. I would argue that this would be the biggest single incident of cheating. The final nail for SMU was them paying some drug addled linebacker who left school after a few years. Its not the same as paying 180, 000 dollars for a recruit who would go on to win the Heisman, lead his team to the national championship and be one of the most discussed, polarizing players in recent memory.
Paying 180, 000 for Cam is no worse than paying 250,000 for Means but nobody knew who Means was at the time (nationally).

That retard Jeff Lee broke the Calloway story. Lee works for AU Sports who is owned by Rivals who is owned by Yahoo. Maybe Lee blew his load early and they sent in Robinson to finish the story

Yea I think his definition of a 10 before his article comes out, and the fans definition of a 10 is quite a difference.

Not really, but dont you think it is hard to say you have a story lined up coming out in March when you dont even have the subject of the story(Lyles) talking to you yet?
Listen, dude, until Charles Robinson fails to deliver the goods that dude is friggin golden right now. So far, he's been straight money.
Most of the sane AU posters here on the SEC Rant would agree with that. And no fan of a SEC West school wants to see any new stories from C-Rob mentioning our school. Yahoo Sports is the most feared organization in college football right now.

If I'm Robinson, I'm getting Yahoo to hire a private security force to protect me day and night.

What possible new info could come out on Cam to make it a 10?
AU paid him? Most people think he was paid anyway.
He knew? Most people believe he knew
The method in which he was paid ie a bingo machine? explains how, but isn't earth shattering
MSU paid Cecil then he stabbed them in the back by going to AU? That would be a fun read.

All started because a Dallas TV station (WFAA) asked a shitload of questions that exposed the money trail.
If the local media in Dallas hadn't gotten the ball rolling, the impotent NCAA probably would have punished Cleveland State instead of SMU.

I'd have to laugh at that scenario. Not even gonna lie

I might agree if he hadn't rated the OhioState/Tressel shite at an 8.
Players getting caught selling their shite is big. The league commish begging the Sugar Bowl & NCAA to allow the players to remain eligible to play in the bowl all to find out later that the HC lied to about the whole thing is even bigger. A well respected HC losing his job over it all is big too.
I can't imagine what rates a 10 to Robinson ~ I guess we'll see soon enough.

While it's true that Lyles wasn't volunteering much back in February or March, Lyles also says the NCAA didn't ask him a lot of the questions that Yahoo asked him in prep for their July story. As far as the NCAA goes, Lyles says he just answered the questions they did ask and didn't volunteer anything beyond that. And I've read that Robinson sat on a lot of Lyles' info until he was able to check it all out and corroborate it with other sources, phone records, emails, etc. He waited until July to publish the rest of the story because he wanted to make damn sure he had a lot of supporting evidence to go along with Lyles' claims that Robinson did publish. Robinson said there were many things Lyles said that he didn't publish because Robinson couldn't find sufficient supporting evidence.
The Key thing here is Robinson didn't interview Lyles until May or june, as I recall.
So again how could robinson's ?6-8? story be oregon/lyles interview, if he didnt even know lyles was going to speak to him?
