Race to end up on the shittiest team?

Dolphins would be smart to flip the #1 pick and draft the OL from UGA and Iowa, then grab Delpit and Devonta Smith. Get Terrell Lewis in the 2nd as well. Give Rosen a chance but if he flames out, there's always that DJ Uigalalelei.

Rather have Joe go to New Orleans and learn from Brees/Payton.......Tua can go to Miami

I know you are doing this just to troll, but for Burrow's sake I hope he isn't the first player drafted.
Simply posting an interesting debate topic about a great SEC QB and Tuna.
But I hope he is. Joe is a winner.

NFL scouts overthink everything - and they care more about what their pears think than they should. The NFL is a crap shoot as far as qbs go. Cam Winston and Marcus have all crapped out in glorious fashion.

Do all NFL scouts speak fruit?

I'm just praying that Denver passes on both of them, and shores up the OL or something. Elway can't pick a QB to save his life - he'd love Burrow

Another aspect to take into account is learning curve capability.
Burrow has proven he can learn a new offense quickly, and adjust his game to suit the team strengths.
Tua probably can too, but are we really sure about it?

Tua will almost certainly be drafted first, but for his sake it would definitely be nice to avoid the Dolphins. One can hope

The lab built guys like you mentioned (Joe, Trevor, Jalen) are elite already and help others rise to that elite level.
‘Jalen’ LOL. I love that kid but he is not lab built for the NFL.

Burrow has said what they are doing now is similar to what he grew up with and at OSU, so his real learning curve on something new was last year and the results were pretty meh. I wouldn't place all of that at the feet of a learning curve, but at most it's just kind of an incomplete.
Tua has had 3 offensive coordinators in 3 years - all shotgun based but all from different systems (Patriots, Pure college RPO spread, West Coast/Spread).

Being picked first in the draft has lost a lot of its luster seeing that now that they have a scale on picks . Plus you go to a horrible team ...
You can always pull an Eli and tell them to kick rocks.

Truth to this.
Bad teams shouldn't draft a quarterback first. Build the team first and grab a quarterback after you've done that.
Teams that are solid everywhere except at quarterback, like the Rams and Colts, or solid teams looking for the future leader to take over after their qb retires, like the Pats and Saints, should draft a QB in the first.
But OL picks don't immediately sell tickets and jerseys.

I honestly wonder what people consider arm talent these days. Dude threw a 48 yard pass right on the money to a WR in cover 2 to win a NC as a freshman. People seem so enamored with these Goliaths in the pocket that can throw the ball 500 yards.
They are only "experts" because that's what they call them on TV.
In truth, they don't know shite most of the time. And the rest of the time they are just attention whoring.

They are looking for the arm talent to sling a pass into very tight coverages.
Truthfully, he hasn't had to do that a whole lot.
He has unbelievable touch though. He displays that all the time.

If they can get Joe Burrow (and a decent RB) - they’ll win a lot of games.
