Should make for a great debate over the next few months!

quote:

They might be tanking for Tua in Miami, for all we know. But it wouldn’t be shocking if, in some other NFL city, they might be bottoming out for Burrow.

quote:

The 6-foot-4 Burrow, who is now completing 79.6 percent of his passes on the season, there just seems to be a real fascination with him in the league right now.

“Accuracy, toughness, confidence, athleticism [and] good, quick decision making,” the senior scout told us. “It’s all on display there. It’s hard not to like.”

Burrow’s adjusted completion percentage (which accounts for dropped passes, throwaways, spiked passes, batted ball and passes where the QB was hit while they threw) is an astounding 85.2 right now — no other college QB with at least 160 dropbacks this season is within three percentage points of him this season.

quote:

It’s worth noting that the Miami Dolphins have scouted Burrow extensively, right alongside the other handful of top quarterbacks in next year’s draft picture. The NFL’s other winless team, the 0-6 Cincinnati Bengals, sent their top scouting executive (Duke Tobin) to the game matching Burrow and Utah State’s Jordan Love two weeks ago.

quote:

But there is a sense I’ve gathered on Tagovailoa in scouting circles that is pretty interesting. Let’s just say that’s he’s not for everyone.

Some teams will lament his lack of great arm talent. Some might question his build. The fact that he’s lefthanded might work against him with certain coaches who now have to flip round their offenses (it’s a bigger deal for some coaches than others, believe it or not). Others will suggest Tagovailoa is a product of four future NFL receivers, plus an NFL back and an offensive line that has at least three draftable talents. There isn’t universal love for him as a prospect, it’s become clear.

“He’s not Andrew Luck or anything, in terms of how [the league] will view him, I think,” the scout said.

Tua has decided to stay another year in order to avoid Miami. I read it on the Rant, so I know it is true.

This is good news for Tua long term. His career could be crushed early if he went to a place with no plan and a terrible offensive line. He needs to go to a place with a good offensive staff and a decent nucleus on the offensive line or he might get beat to shite early and never recover. His size and skillset could work very well in the right system, but he's not a built in a lab type QB like Lawrence.

I at least hope that's what happens for him.

Or he could just come back for his senior year.

Time will tell!

This time last year Kyler Murray wasn’t a first round projection!

Joe is projected #12 overall right now! Look out!

Honestly, I’d take Burrow over Tua if I were running a NFL team

Tua is the best 7 on 7 QB that has ever played the game. Does it translate to the NFL will be the question.

I agree with this.

Tuna’s arm and build demand some help around him. Guys that can lift him up to that elite level.

The lab built guys like you mentioned (Joe, Trevor, Jalen) are elite already and help others rise to that elite level.

The REC is gonna send Burrow to the Explosive ShitHole in Miami so that Tua doesn’t have to go

Being picked first in the draft has lost a lot of its luster seeing that now that they have a scale on picks . Plus you go to a horrible team ...

I bet Tua does hope he is past for the first over all .

Here is what I heard the talking heads on tv say this weekend. They called the Miami/Washington game the "Tua bowl", and another said he is the most NFL ready qb to come out of college since Andrew Luck. I could believe the guys who get paid millions to evaluate draft prospects or a LSU homer?

I'm glad Joe is getting some love, but I would be devastated for him if he had to go to Miami or Cincy.

He would be a big favorite with the latter, being a local Ohioan, but frick those dumpster fires.

Top QB prospects always go to dumpster fire organizations. Who cares who he goes to, he made it to the league.

These guys have already made it, barring a career ending injury God forbid. I'd like Joe to have a shot to succeed, and those teams seem to be endlessly terrible organizations. Plenty huge prospects bust when they get there, some because they didn't have it, some because of the situation they were put in (sometimes both, looking at LSU's last overall #1 QB). I think Joe has it.

I know you are doing this just to troll, but for Burrow's sake I hope he isn't the first player drafted.

I honestly wonder what people consider arm talent these days. Dude threw a 48 yard pass right on the money to a WR in cover 2 to win a NC as a freshman. People seem so enamored with these Goliaths in the pocket that can throw the ball 500 yards.
