We had 5, FIVE, turnovers.
We punted twice.

It was piss poor effort on the part of the players. Poor play calling and a general lack of enthusiasm on all parties involved.
Give credit to Mercer, they came to play, not just cash a paycheck.
So many turnovers. Legatron missing FG.
Would have been one of the top topics today--- so thanks LSU, Tenn, Mizzou for helping put and ugly win in perspective.
As ugly as it was, it beats: Getting that arse beat or an ugly loss.

Stidham is a solid QB, maybe a very good QB. But the offense overall sucks. Running game was sluggish, which was surprising.
Stidham was able to progress through reads in a manner he won't be able to against better opponents. That's not really a knock on him, he needed that outing. But despite overall good offensive production, it was very disjointed at times (plays developed awkwardly and slowly, Stidham had more time than he will going forward, etc.).

When is the last time Auburn has thrown the ball 37 times in one game?

Practice was not crisp or had good pace.

Marshall threw 43 times against Bama in 14. Dunno if there's anything more recent.

Agree, but dont see us beating UGA, MSU, or Bama, which is four. We shite the bed on someone else for 5. No game is a given for this team.

Offense moved the ball?
Yes. Haven't seen so many called passes while ahead though.
Made me quite uncomfortable.

17-10 in the 4th quarter against Mercer?
Turnovers and a missed field goal? Offense moved the ball?
truth is that our quarterback holds the ball a long time and then throws bullets.
-He had about 50 yards in a couple drops that hit receivers in the hands/chest literally and then we fumbled the ball 4 times.
-our running game has taken a serious step back for whatever reason, we can't seem to find a way to run it so far on either side of center.
- Our play calling was still pretty bad but half of the o-line problems stem with Stidham holding the ball too long on every throw and not pulling the trigger. Some of him holding the ball too long is a direct result of receivers not getting separation worth a shite from defenders.
- Our entire offense looked like it caught a bad case of don't-give-a-shits. And it is a BAD case. The dropped passes looked lazy and Pettway isn't running with the fire he had last year.
