Wrong assumptions made by some Bama fans wanting rematch with Auburn

Elements of the Alabama fanbase are understandably wanting a rematch with Auburn in the bowls, however they are making 2 big incorrect assumptions IMO:

- Auburn only beat Alabama due to luck: The last play was anything but luck. Auburn coaches schemed off Alabama's decision and Auburn had better athletes on the field. It easy to forget the game was tied for a reason - the 2 teams were evenly matched in several ways.

- Alabama would definitely win the rematch / Saban with time to prepare, etc.: Biggest fallacy. Alabama is in no way guaranteed a win just with a rematch and Malzahn would also have time to prepare. There is the very real possibility Auburn would beat Alabama again: How would the Bama fanbase cope with that?

Once a year for these 2 teams is enough.

We would have won in overtime. Alabama was having trouble with redzone TDs all game and there is no way you can trust their kicker.

Auburn was driving very well and outscored Alabama on Offense in the second half

Why are you being so insecure about AU's win?

If it were my call I would take the game in a second. It would beat the hell out of playing someone that my team could care less about playing so motivation would be taken care of and any home field advantage for AU is gone.

If we can't play in the BCSCG the Sugar Bowl needs to start pulling strings today to stop a boring uninteresting matchup that NO ONE cares to see. Bring Gus on.

Am I reading this right? An Auburn fan saying the team that lost wouldn't win in a rematch? When did y'all have a change of heart?

Agree with everything. I only would want a rematch if it's our only chance to play for the national title; I don't want a SB rematch

Don't care about playing Auburn again. But Auburn was definitely lucky to get that W. Good for them.

If I were auburn I'd definitely take UCF over Bama too

That being said, they're not even guaranteed a BCS bowl. You have to beat Missouri first.

I personally think if we play again Alabama would win, but I do agree that if they game would have went into OT barring any fumbles, Auburn had the upperhand to win...

wrong assumptions made by auburn fans, that you will win the sec championship, get into and win the national championship.
