there apparently was a team meeting last night to let the team know that he wasn't coming back, but it hasn't been announced yet and that might be total bullshite.. CDC runs a tight ship.. no real leaks so far.. only speculation

Lots of different people are saying that team meeting happened.. so I expected them to make the announcement today about Pierce's departure.. but I haven't seen anything yet.. CDC usually likes to fire/hire the same day or very close to each other.. if it pushes into this weekend, he may be fishing for someone still playing..

I honestly have no clue what's going to happen.. I just don't see anyway that Pierce is back next year. He apparently isn't recruiting the portal at all, so he must know something...

You would think that Texas would go after a coach that has actually won something meaningful. I guess they are satisfied with a coach that chokes every year.

That basically narrows it down to Jay Johnson, O'Sullivan, or Brian O'Connor. Others who've won it all are either nearing retirement or have consistency issues.

I honestly would love O'Connor but obviously the other two aren't leaving.

When Texas does it, they do it right. You're all going to love them.

If it was Johnson it would be done already because Jay ain't waiting around when you have to put together a roster

yep a bunch of coaches about to get raises.. only question is which one will get the bump to move to Austin.. i’m amazed that no one seems to know.. really anything..

going off Kendall’s other tweets.. sounds like we are going big game hunting as soon as some teams finish.. or maybe he already has someone on the line..

for Kendall to say it that it would be massive to hear anything (today) that sounds like it might be done and that sounds like a coach that is still coaching… who isn’t O’Connor..

Vitello
Schloss
Sully

Forbes
Mingione

No way it is the 68 year old NC State coach.. It’s doubtful to be Link since he is a FSU alum.. and really only the top 3 would be “massive”

Hmmm..

My money is still on Bakich... I just can't see announcing a coach who's at the CWS.

The highest paid coach in the SEC makes around $1.7 million, and you think Texas is going to reset the market for coaches salaries in a sport in which they lose money?

Hold up.... You forget... This is UTerus, they have more money than they have common sense. It wouldn't surprise me if these losers do this. Don't forget, they flung some serious cheddar at their previous football coaches too that didn't amount to snuff. I think they're still paying off Charlie Strong.

Kendall has already said there is "zero shot" for Schloss.

I've enjoyed watching your mods and know-nothing posters feeding hope to the masses.

Which mods implied we were getting Schloss?

Yeah, if only he packed his bags on his own accord, like when your boy Lincoln Riley told you to frick off.

Zero chance longhorns inflict the embarrassment on themselves of being turned down by Schloss.

Virginia coach getting an extension at this time means someone swang and missed for him.

Is anyone looking for a coach besides Texas?

Schloss and Tony V agents have already told cdc no. The delusional texas fans and writters (kethcum, Schumel, Chip Brown and many others) thought just because they all worked together at tcu one of those two coaches would say yes. They both aren't a fan of Austin and the political game you have to play while being the hc at texas.

Both are getting what they want amd are happy where they are at.

Yep. Tony’s extension at UT is done and will be announced once the season is over.

Both have everything they want, new stadiums coming, stacked teams, excellent recruiting, etc ... Texas will have to look elsewhere. I'm not sure they are getting any SEC coaches unless one is just "unhappy"
