Overall, LSU leads the series by 19 games, and since 2000, leads 12-5.

Same verbatim thing everyone with a vested interest in Ole Miss has been saying for the past few months.

Know who has been wrong on everything that has left their lips and have also put in print? Everyone who has a vested interest in Ole Miss.

Since this info obviously came from either the athletic department or some other party who wouldn't know and just make it up, file this under.

-no investigation. Stop spreading lies.
-the investigation is only in women's sports and track
-there are football allegations but it's only on previous staff.
-ok there is a few things on current staff but it's only Tunsil.
-Freeze not in NOA.
-the investigation is over. No amended NOA
-9 scollys over 3 yrs.
-Barney Farrar is just on short leave and will be back recruiting again soon.
-Leo Lewis is suspended for the final game in Oxford
-no postseason bans.
-coaches were fired for poor performance. Not the NCAA investigation.
-media is about to release tapes with damaging info regarding Leo Lewis.
-Leo Lewis will be forced to transfer to a SWAC school because he is now ineligible at Mississippi State

Etc....etc....etc

I neither know nor care. I do, however, know... and care... that neither of you beats us regularly.

MedDawg, have you actually looked at the NOA, it's not too terribly bad...Triple the sanctions? You're acting like our players murdered somebody

I'm thinking more of what infractions the NCAA called Level 1's and the new penalty matrix, not how serious they seem to fans. Under the new penalty matrix, each Level 1 could be penalized up to 11 scholarships. OM admitted to 6 Level 1's, I think. Of course, some of the Level 1's occurred before 2013 so they would be penalized under the old rules, but the potential is there for the NCAA to take 30+. I'm not saying they will or should.

I remember State getting found guilty of relatively little in our 2004 NCAA investigation. I brought that up on a State board years ago and was told that we committed much worse than we were found guilty of and the penalties reflected that.

What technicality caused the entire Miami investigation to get tossed out?

(This is not bait, legitimately asking)

its in the link...similarities between both cases, with this granting immunity to players that didn't sign with Ole Miss and can be said to have a grudge.

Unless this attorney has direct ties to the NCAA he doesn't know what the NCAA will hand down. The Leo allegation could be thrown out and the COI could still hammer OM if they wanted to. NOBODY KNOWS. However, ever since the Penn State sanctions the COI has gone lighter punishments so I'm guessing the same will be done for ole miss

The main takeaway I got from the interview is that this attorney, though like you say he doesn't have any inside info about the ncaa, he nonetheless seemed quite confident with what the Ole Miss legal team has to counter with. This attorney guy is a OM alumnus with connections to OM lawyers. I posted this subject about the interview because of direct SEC interest, but I have no dog in this fight. I agree with most that the ncaa will hammer OM big time, but after listening to the guy, my odds for the big hammer have dropeed from say 95% to 90%:)

That was a good read into how screwed up the NCAA is.

Ole Miss lawyers must have rehashed the Yahoo Artical about Fluker ect and investigated it properly for the NCAA. Then they must have told the NCAA to handle that first then get back with em. Their deffenately gonna drag someone down with them.......

Ole Miss football started with Hugh Freeze. LSU football started with Saban. Freeze kicks Sabans and LSU arse with more regularity than either of them are comfortable with.

I mean, that would be once soooo, that's not really saying much. Once is far too often for a team like Ole Miss to beat a team like either Bama or LSU. I mean, it's gonna happen from time to time. The law of numbers would tell you that. Pass a tornado through a junkyard enough times and it will assemble an airplane but that doesn't mean you start naming every tornado Boeing.
