I tell you what, go to any UTexas fan and ask them if they would want to win the Directors Cup or a NC in football.
lol they'd rather have football. I'm not even trying to debate that.

But you keep saying "athletic program" which for Texas is also 19 other sports. And is the best in the country according to the association that awards the trophy

Daniel - I'm sorry I'm making you mad and I'm sorry every time Texas is brought up you have PTSD about getting rejected and then tweeting racist things to Texas recruits.

XWing - "Is winning hard?" It seems that PeeWee Sarkisian thinks so. Then again he is at Texas now so it makes sense

Not sure. Aggies would probably have the best answer given all of their consistent failure since Germany invaded Poland

A&M was 100% correct in leaving that conference

And also 100% correct in telling Texas to frick off. We are not playing you anymore.

Ironically, the A&M program would be in contention to win that conference and make the playoffs.

Wow. I can kind of understand when a Bama fan pats their little pet aggy on the head, but it's just sad to see an LSU fan carrying their water.

Very simple solution: every team that scores on them or beats them just does the regular Texas hand sign. It’s ten times more mocking than the horns down.

Big difference between flagging a player for taunting and having the conference specifically rule that mimicking one team’s hand-gesture will be penalized.

OK, but there there is no "specific" rule that mentions Horns Down. The head of officiating said taunting will be a point of emphasis, a reporter asked how that related to Horns Down, and he answered the question.

And Voila! -- a quote and subsequent tweets and stories set the SEC rant on fire about Texas without Texas doing a damn thing.

That is an excellent idea. Doubt they can flag that - but I’m sure the refs will try

I’m far from an Aggie fan and couldn’t care less if they never won another game.

Only reason OU is staying is because they know they can win that conference every year with a team that shouldn’t be in the top ten.

Continue to enjoy your mediocrity and think you’re better than everybody else.

“There’s plenty of blue bloods around the country performing under standard, but they don’t get ESPN Paul Finebaum segments dedicated to their short comings. “

^^^^^^
That’s your quote above.

Most underachieving programs in CFB history.

1) Texas

2) Michigan

3) Georgia

When you suck for so long, you’re no longer a blue blood.

Georgia still is because of their record.

What the frick are you talking about? Georgia has two claimed titles. They’ve played in one since 1980. We’ve played in two in the last 16 years, could have easily been three or four. They’ve arguably had the best roster in college ball the past four or five years and what do they have to show for it? A couple of New Years Bowl wins over Oklahoma, Baylor & Cincinnati? We’re still more relevant than Michigan on the national stage, even in the most mediocre decade of our existence.

To be fair, it's more of an Austin thing than a Texas thing. Much like on the west coast or the northeast, when a certain ideology seeps into the pores of a specific geographic area, it has a profoundly negative impact on the college football programs that exist within that territory.

Just curious, did Texas win any NC this year

No poke, just asking.

Your #1 underachieving program has only won 1 National Chamionship game in your entire history.

One 1 One 1 National Championship game in your entire history.

You have arguably this best talent pool in your state than anywhere in the country.

And you still suck.

P.S.

You can’t even win that chicken shite conference you play in.

You would at best be 4th in the SEC West.

More than likely 5th.

A&M would be ahead of you.

Well truthfully it is because the rule is very, very bad, and Coach Sarkisian is the new HC at Texas.
