You know - I could see both these things being true. And O would probably do really, really well at Tulane.
That would be a great ride into the sunset for him, but those arrogant pricks probably think they're too good for him.

Although, in all fairness, if the question was "which coach would you rather have if you needed somebody to turn their stack of play-sheets and game notes into a fleet of paper airplanes ?" - then my choice would have been Jimbo.

In case this is a bait and switch thread, or some other aggyesque gradeschool frickery.

Brian Kelly at A&M would be nearly as scary as he would at LSU. Title contending status with all that talent. We all know this is a shite troll question, but do better.

LOLSU approached Jimbo's agent three times while they were looking for a new head coach. Their last offer would have been the largest college football coach contract in the history of college football and Jimbo turned corndog down. The offer prompted 'bama to change Saban's contract so he would be the highest paid coach no matter what other coaches got.

None of this happened.

Brian Kelly but if I want to win championships, neither.
Seems the gators have a good run of National Championship winning coaches, LOL.

That's like getting turned down by the prom queen, only to see her a few years later and she's a fat, alcoholic, single mother of two serving as the community bicycle in the local trailer park. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I doubt LSU is crying in their beer over losing out on Jimbo. And it's almost 10:00 AM, so there are surely more than a few beers already open down on the Bayou.
Man, I don't get it - but its a real thing. There is something about most A&M fans that simply lacks self-awareness. Do you really think you "got one over" on LSU by winning the Jimbo sweepstakes ?

Never trust a coach called Jimbo

Well we know Scott Woodward wanted Fisher but instead, he settled on the guy who can't beat him.

They need LSU to have wanted Jimbo, it isn't enough that he's their coach and they like him.
They need that validation from their big brother.

Anyone who answers Jimbo is a liar.

Let me help you out here. Sexton told A&M(Bjork) that LSU is heavily courting Jimbo and want to give him the largest contract in CFB history. Sexton mentioned it to Bama. So Bama upped the ante, and Jimbo was offered an extension. LSU didn't have any interest.
Tell me Sexton isn't worth his weight in gold.

Tell me how to get Jimmy Sexton started on shopping John Calipari to the Aggies.

It starts with Scott Woodward's roux recipe
