Whats the difference?

I'm right leaning but I find line-toeing partisan party flag waving enthusiasts to be damn near as intolerable as bammers. Damn near. I'll take liberals.
Man I hate the off season.

They will both screw you over so why does it matter which party. Can't root for the rival.

The fans of my rival are more often than not bleeding heart liberals.

A liberal fan of my most hated rival.

Dude...there was a study a couple of years ago ranking the most conservative schools in the country and Auburn was top 3. Also, I have spent many hours talking politics on ITAT's Toomer's Corner and I can assure you that Auburn fans are overwhelmingly conservative. There are about 100 or so regular posters with about 5 being liberal. Me being a moderate-conservative, I am viewed as the Harry Reid of the board. It really is like a conservative "Lord of the Flies" island.
You have no clue what you are talking about.

Fawxie is an A&M fan, he just has the Bama moniker for some reason lately. I've never understood people's infatuation on this board with putting other teams' symbols by their names, but it seems to be a popular thing to do and you can't assume anything.

I've always wondered that too. Especially when they have a picture of the team the really root for in their avi or sig pic.

I'm not an Alabama fan.

My mistake, Auburn is the MOST conservative public university in the country
Seems Texas A&M is on that list as well.

By the way, while I'm familiar with Austin and that Texas is one of the more progressive universities in the Deep South, I'm not sure that's enough to push them to the "liberal" side of the spectrum when viewed nationally. Texas may look quite left-leaning when compared to A&M (who make the Third Reich seem like Greenpeace), but I think they probably would be moderately left on a national scale.

No, Texas is liberal as frick when compared to anywhere, not just A&M.
NTTAWWWT, but they fancy themselves an ivy league school that just happens to be in TX, and act accordingly.

What most people don't realize about the current constitution of tu is that it is mostly indian/asian. Combined those two demographics are over 50% of their student body. Growing up with lots of indians and asians in high school and such, they are more often than not completely lacking a political identity as their parents(where most people derive politics from) completely lack a political familiarity with the United States. If they do have political leanings, it's mostly libertarian or straight up liberal.
But that's only 55-60% of their students. There is a small Greek population there, maybe 8%, and even then there is a gay frat. Alabama doesn't let black people in the Greek system. In Austin they have a frat devoted to homosexuality. And that's the "conservative leaning element". The rest, is definitely liberal. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. The most liberal kids in the state try their hardest to get there, and the faculty(education is a highly liberal field to begin with) wants them.
On a National scale, I'd hold them up with the best.

*best in the eyes of liberals.

Can I choose death instead?

Wow, that's actually pretty interesting. Kudos to Texas for being so accepting.

That being said, I love Austin. Floating the river in the day, 6th st at night, ever filled with loose women the entire time. Southby, ACL, taco trucks, etc. I love my teasip friends as well. I wouldn't send my kids there out of my love for Texas A&M, but it's a good school where you can get a great education. If my wife ends up being a teasip, I wouldn't hold it against her.

I guess I have to say liberal only by default...
LSU doesn't have a most hated rival.

I'll never be either. With a choice like that death seems preferred.
