Damn I'm sure $200,000 last long in that area. What's the median family income for that county and poverty rate.

The Gulf Coast is nice. Love the southern part of Mississippi. Jackson to up north, not so much.

I'd love to hear the explanation for how Cam was only at AU for 10 months.

frickin idiots actually believe that. It's become part of their narrative now. And of course Cam walked away from Auburn and has never returned, too.

The irony is strong with this thread. It took $200k to get him away from State and Mullen. Y'all paid it. WTF is going on here?

So the thread should be exactly the opposite. Go to State or get $200k to go to Auburn.

What's evidence is needed? They approached State first to 'offer their services' and State wouldn't pay. Auburn, well we all remember how that turned out.

5 NCAA investigators and a $6 million investigation over 18 months couldn't find even one-shred of wrongdoing by Auburn, but you're "sure."

OK....

The frick are you quoting? Sure of what? That they didn't play the same game with y'all? How hard is it to find a booster to hand over $200k? I know the guys they approached from State and they could have gotten that out of their couch. IDGAF. Let me repeat, IDGAF. I didn't start this fully ironic thread, I just commented on it. Y'all paid, so what?

No, why would a Miss State booster and a Miss State alum play that game with Auburn? They didn't play it with Oklahoma either, or anybody else recruiting him. The Cecil Newton situation was ALWAYS about Cecil and Miss State. Sorry to ruin the fantasy for you.

No, what would I use $200,000 in Starkville? I don't need 200k to shop at Wal-Mart and trade goats.

I have always found it interesting that State continued to recruit Cam even after Cecil asked them for money and they only found morality and reported the situation after Cam signed with Auburn. I would like to hear Moo State fans explain those facts.

No doubt in my mind that State would have swept the entire situation under the rug if Cam had signed with them. This is despite the fact that State fans now claim Cecil simply asking for money should have made Cam ineligible to play college football

Yes we continued to recruit him. Yes it was a former MSU running back that came to a MSU booster with Cecil's offer of 180k for Cams services. Yes Cecil was going to give MSU a 20K discount over the 200K he had asked Auburn. Yes the MSU booster told John Bond of the offer and Bond went to the MSU coaches and administrators w the news. We refused the offer but continued to recruit the kid and not the dad and would've signed him if he wanted to come and play for us. He didn't so it leaves one to wonder if the 200K offer to auburn was accepted.

The difference in this is john Bond talked and let the cat out of the bag. Ain't no way in Hell anyone from Auburn is going to admit to anything and it is even likely that no one on the coaching staff knew of the offer. But whichever booster Cecil was meeting with knew.

Bottom line, this is over, nothing was found which is hilarious. MSU wouldn't have received any punishment from the NCAA for shite because we didn't agree to the offer, and the only piece of shite in this whole thing is Cecil Newton for pimping his son out End of story.
