Good luck with that.

If bama can let the T-Town Menswear cash connection happen out in the open, anything is possible.
re: JFF, Cam, Jameis get off. Gurley gets hit. There is no God.

What Georgia fans should be up in arms is the completely illegal dealings that went on (and still go on) at T-Town Menswear.

Don't worry, there will be a good supply of returns after MSU drops a couple games.

This thread is going to be awesome Saturday night.
re: How will AU move the ball?

Oh woe is us....we've never faced a team with a good defense before. Whatever shall we do?
If Auburn wins, I hope you can take it as well as you can dish it out.

Let me see if I have this straight....
Auburn will not be able to run.
Auburn will not be able to pass.
MSU will score on 1-play drives every time they touch the ball.
Final score prediction, MSU 147 AU 0
That about cover it?

Saban was clearly trying to prepare the fans for more losses to come in his press conference.
re: Would you live in Starkville for $200,000?

5 NCAA investigators and a $6 million investigation over 18 months couldn't find even one-shred of wrongdoing by Auburn, but you're "sure."
OK....
OK....

Welcome to our world.
Nick Saban has taken a page from the book of bear bryant.
These days, not many people remember what the SEC was like with bryant around. He used every means possible to tilt the field in Alabama's favor, both legal and illegal.
Do you really believe that bear bryant was such a dominating coach because he just knew X's and O's that much better than all other coaches in the country? Hell, no. He won that much because he stacked the deck so high. The old saying that he could beat you his players and then turn around and beat you with yours couldn't be further from the truth. He didn't want any of your crappy players, and he made damn sure you didn't get any that he wanted. In most cases, the game was lost before you ever stepped foot on the field.
Saban has done the same. Do you really believe that Alabama's coaching staff is just heads and shoulder's so much better than LSU's that LSU doesn't even look to be in the same league? Of course not.
Saban will continue to ignore recruiting rules. He'll continue to oversign and process out the kids when he lands someone better. He'll continue to pretend he doesn't know anything about the T-town menswear network operating at full steam.
He came to Alabama with a very clear directive: win at all costs.
Until someone calls him on it, playing Alabama today will be like playing Alabama under bryant: you're facing a massive uphill battle before you ever step on the field.
The NCAA isn't going to do anything about it unless the other members of the SEC demand it.
People better wake up.

there was a reason he didn't explode

His first against anyone of note...
Sorry to throw my 2 cents in, but Dan is correct on this one.
It was Newton's first big game and his first road game.
Our coaches weren't sure how he'd react. Our game plan was kept extremely simple and conservative.
The 3rd quarter against Kentucky might be a better place to look. Although we had more confidence in Newton by then, we failed to execute in the third quarter. That was in large part due to our own mistakes, but Kentucky's defense played a part I'm sure.

bullshite....should have been 15yd roughing the passer penalty. ball was gone and he picked him up and slammed him to the turf. clear penalty....good ole boy sec refs just let it slide. the cheap hits in alabama just keep on coming.
Uh, you might want to review the clip above and revise your expert analysis.
re: Wasn't the 08' game a decently called game by the refs?

LSU fans will admit when we've benefited from a bad call like the one last season in Georgia. There is a history of us getting horrendous calls AT Auburn. I saved this pic from 2006 for just such an occasion. Our player had no chance at the ball because the Auburn defender had him completely wrapped up. This call was clearly missed and changed the game. Funny that it happened in the 4th quarter just like the bad calls against Arkansas.
What your picture doesn't show is that the ball was tipped in the opposite direction of the receiver just after that picture. The receiver had no chance to catch the ball. Therefore it was deemed uncatchable and the pass interference (which WAS called) by rule had to be picked up.
The refs could have called defensive holding and probably should have, and they wouldn't have had to pick that up. I wouldn't have had an argument with that since the defender did get there early.

Funny how the refs only cheat for Auburn in games you lose. I've never read a single complaint about the refs cheating for Auburn in games LSU has won.

National article about Arkansas getting hosed last weekend in CFN.
Funny how that article ignored the pass interference in the endzone that led to an Arkansas touchdown. Had it been called correctly, it would have been uncatchable.
That article also didn't mention the bad spot Arkansas got on a 4th down play, keeping them alive. Nor did it mention the obvious push-off by Childs on his touchdown reception which wasn't called.
Oh yeah....I forgot. Auburn pays the refs. Maybe some of our checks bounced and that's why they made those bad calls in FAVOR of Arkansas.

That was the game where the Tiger was completely tackled before the ball got there and it was called pass interference (right at the end of the game). After review it was seen that the ball was tipped by another player 2 feet in front of the receiver well after the receiver had been tackled. Because of the tip it was deemed not pass interference. One of the biggest screw jobs I have ever seen.
I know this is going to send people on this board off the deep end, but that is absolutely the correct call.
The pass was tipped in the opposite direction of the receiver, several feet before it got to him. He had no chance to catch the pass because of the tip.
Pass interference had been called. When a ball is deemed uncatchable, pass interference CANNOT occur. Thus, the flag was correctly waved off.
What LSU fans SHOULD be arguing is that defensive holding was the correct call. That would not have been waved off because of the uncatchable ball. Since the Auburn defender did grab the receiver well before the ball arrived, I certainly think defensive holding could have been called. Whether it was not called because of the great Auburn-owns-all-SEC-officials conspiracy, I'll leave for you to debate.

And to beat Arkansas you needed refs to blow not one but two huge calls that gave you 14 points and lead to the int for another td. What about Florida who was ranked 14th when we won? And again you almost lost to Kentucky
Kentucky probably isn't a good argument for your side.
You almost lost to TN and almost lost to Florida. Oh wait - that's different, right?
As for Arkansas, we won by 22.

Yes. They want both to win until they play each other.
Several SEC Refs have homes and large loans from Colonial Bank and Regions Bank.
Just FYI Colonial Bank was shut down back in 2009 and its assets were sold to BBT bank. Bobby Lowder is not involved in BBT.
