Granted it’s pure conjecture as to the exact nature of his injury; but assuming a properly reduced fracture of the posterior wall of the acetabulum, I would presume the bone would have healed and remodeled close to 100% in 6 weeks or so. The main issue in my mind would be the long term effects of the articular cartilage which is going to be the most likely problem down the road.
I wish him all the best and hope this injury is not something that affects his career any more than it already has.

I also would think that Ruggs and Smith might come back if Tua does

Is this more of a pain management situation, or limited mobility?

I hope Tua comes back

I would welcome Mac Jones or Bryce Young with open waiting arms

From my cousin who is an orthopedic surgeon:

Basically Tua's near future should be fine. However, the risk, and we wont really know until 2 years in the future or so, is will he suffer from necrosis or early onset arthritis

So he may come out looking great next year, and then his career is basically shot when he is 25 or so

We seem to have two or three of those every year. Sort of like this years "Game Of The Century."

Why would it be?

I wish the young man a full recovery whether or not he decides to return.
