Go through the boards and add up everything that people dislike about Mizzou. Then multiply that by a 5X Entitlement factor, and you have Kansas.

Wow...

This is perfect.

Same could be said for Nebraska

Kansas basketball
Nebraska football

Both are brands that carry more weight with a broader national audience than tLandmass. I like tLandmass, but I am not selling ad space on the east and west coast.

2. WVU

small state of 1.8 million (AR currently smallest SEC state with 3.0 million)
poor state
poor academics
poor future growth
poor job opportunities for future jobs

And it is still a better option than pretty much everyone else in the Big-12. WVU is the second prettiest girl at fat camp.

ETA...viewership rankings for college programs (2013 data)

We already have a team from Texas...and I don't necessarily want any others. If we were to take Oklahoma...I don't know that we would want Oky State, too.

16. Oklahoma - Yes
19. Oklahoma St. - No, if we add Ok
26. Texas - Nope, Nope, Nope
36. Texas Tech - aTm is Texas state token
37. Baylor - See Above
48. TCU - See Above
52. WVU - Meh...but better than anything below.
59. Kansas St. - Nope
74. Iowa State - Nope
79. Kansas - Hell, Nope.

Yeah, but not adding them is better than any scenario that includes them. Doesn't matter if they're the second best available.

:kige:

OU + KU

Kansas = #1 in Kansas
Kansas = AAU school
Kansas = basketball brand
Kansas = rival for Mizzou
(make TAMU / LSU rivals)
(make Hogs / Sooners rivals - play game in JerryWorld, and piss off austin)

Kentucky vs Kansas rivalry could displace UNC vs Dook

Kansas has 8 Natty's involving running. The last was 2013 in W outdoor T&F

Kansas has a CWS in 1993 (more recent than Mizzou)

Kansas has 7 WCWS appearances

Kansas revives Border War

Kansas (as SEC) gets B1G vs SEC game with Nebraska

Yes, KU you would be a great fit. ATM/OK/KU/MU/Ark/LSU/MSU and OM in the West. I'm biased living in KC. This would give me a few games a year that I could attend without flying.

Not at all. Kansas basketball fans are obnoxious, similar to OU football fans. But that is partly due to the success.

Missouri fans were widely considered the worst fanbase in the Big 8/Big 12. Even Missouri fans hate Missouri fans.

And it wasn't jealousy, as they hardly ever won anything.

(But no. KU would be an awful fit for SEC)

I'm gonna take your word on this, out of respect for Ok State , but do you really think they were more hated than Aggies? Remember, Big12 boards used to call Texas Tech the Sand-Aggies! It' doesn't get much worse

Get to a Final Four first, then when you promise stuff like this it will be more believable.

In my opinion the SEC is too big now. I'd like to see us be able to play teams from the East more often.

If they get so big teams only play in their own division that'd suck. Never play UT UGA or UF unless it's in the SEC Championship game. And they'd probably have to move Auburn to the East also.
No more LSU vs Au, Bama vs UT....I enjoyed the Auburn Florida games.

I am morally and ethically opposed to any more former Big 8 Conference members being allowed to pretend they are part of the South

While this is probably the correct assessment, since the "greed is good" mantra of the 1980's became the american way, it is not likely to happen.
