Dabo is a clown. I hope he doesn't come back.

Because Bama’s Coach is not usually the rah rah type. I’m not knocking that but that’s typically an Auburn characteristic. I don’t know that the powers at Bama would accept that.

I think we need some of that but it’s the “act like you’ve been there” mentality at Bama.

If I had to guess about Alabama's next head coach, I'd lean more toward the possibility that CNS hires a man, brings him on to the staff, works closely with him for a few years while giving him a coordinators position, and allows him to gain the trust and respect of the rest of the staff, the team, and the administration. At the "right time", the handoff would be done as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
Imo, that'd be the best case scenario.

.he doesn't sound like a guy who wants to go to Bama to me

This is his most extensive quote on the matter and it sounds more like a man hedging his bets than it does a "clemson superfan":

quote:

"First of all, anybody that would even say that or suggest that, I'm humbled by that and certainly appreciate that anybody would even think that way, that they would want me to be a candidate for a job like Alabama. But that's just kind of the fandom. People just naturally make connections and things like that and they never really consider all factors. I've always said 'you never say never,' because you have no idea what the dynamics are going to be. Ten years from now, Alabama may call me and want me to come to Alabama, and the Clemson people may hate me at that point. I don't know. I may have a terrible president or a terrible AD. There's dynamics that can change. I'm always just focused on being great where I'm at and blooming where I'm planted.

Clemson AD knows is possible and is trying to prepare for it - doesn't sound like a man who thinks "no way this Clemson Superfan leaves us"

Looked happy to be home when he called his return visit for teh 25th anniversary of his team's '92 national championship, "just what the doctor ordered"

He may or may not be the Bama coach after Saban, but he's the odds on favorite and it isn't because he has no interest either. If Saban holds on long enough to where Bama's need for a new coach coincides with Clay's last year of HS, look out.

Before Hugo ravaged the live Oaks on Campus, I'd say my alma mater would have been up there (even if it was based on a Moorish Prison design)...

if Dabo can be successful at Clemson but not Alabama, what does that say about Alabama.....i would say that means Alabama isn't that great of a job. lol

lol the SEC teams hardly throw a forward pass...Saban not going to lose to teams that can't throw the ball. that QB SC has is terrible but you guys act like he's amazing. i don't think he would start for any ACC team last year.

It is really clear that Clemson fans are worried about this. I think that explains why so many root for Bama. They want NS to continue to win so they can keep Dabo. They going to cut the cord when Bama calls LOL
