Losing 9 players is tough. Espicially some of those players being starters. Hope he finds another opportunity. Spoiled gator fans..

To answer your question do you think Callaway and Scarlett would have saved our season? I sure don't, the other 7 players were career backups or true freshman. It didn't help but if Mac could have won 7 games and not whined about death threats he would still be here. He didn't and he did so he was let go.

So it's not on the head coach of the program to not recruit the type of player that will leave you in a bad spot due to being so stupid as to commit credit card fraud?

It's not like he lost star players to some freak injuries. He recruited these questionable characters. It's on him.

Big time players can always help a team. But i agree, he would have at least won 7 games. Saved him at least another year. He did get to two sec title games. A lot of teams would love that

See this is what i mean, every program has recruits that do silly things. Even UGA. You never know how they will act off the field. Thats the risk every program takes. They are still kids.

One of the reasons he is not there anymore is the difference in philosophy from the admin. As for the 9 players, the admin wanted to assure boosters that certain ones are not coming back to UF. MAC was adamant about certain ones, especially Callaway, coming back. That is just one of the things. So, would it have happened anyway? I think it would have eventually. Maybe not as soon as it did.

When MAC lied, it was an opportunity for the Admin to have a reason to part ways without paying a buyout. UF admin always wins.

How much do you want to bet that the new coach with let Calloway back on the team and profit?

Yea and whenever that happens, the head coach shouldn't get a pass. Either recruit better depth to counter the fact you're putting your fortunes in the hands of shady talent you can't trust, or face the consequences when they bite you in the arse. Player suspensions should never be an excuse to pardon a coach having a shitty product on the field.

And all this is not even pointing out the man put a shitty product on the field the previous two years prior to this suspension year. Although what's the point in even discussing this with someone who's going to point to those 2 sec east titles like mac actually accomplished something.

You fired a coach who is unbeaten and in second in the title run.

We fired a coach who had the lowest ranked offensive average of any coach in fifty years at UF. Lowest recruiting rank averages in 20. Worst win percentage vs ranked teams in 40.

I could keep going. Seems Georgia fans are calling a black pot black, when they are a black kettle.

Yes but it would have been a legitimate excuse if there were not problems with personalities. Anyone that's ever managed before knows there are certain employees that you look for reasons to fire.

He won't screw it up. Miami's just not that good. They've looked really good in one game this season. One.

Lol uga was recruiting better talent and we were losing horribly to teams and even teams who we were better than talent wise. Mac wasnt recruiting the same level of talent. Is my point
