Yeah it smells like poop. Worst road game ive ever been to was Jacksonville. It smelled worse than New Orleans and was boring.

Jax smells?

There hasn't been a paper mill here in decades and the only smell noticeable on some days and only downtown in the coffee roasting plant.

Why would we be happy that Destin would get ruined?

You're just bitching because you lost to a mediocre FSU team.

What does that make Baton Rouge?

Destin is a much nicer town. That being said, keep that shite away from the beach and the Panhandle. We don't need it around here.

For the person arguing how awesome Jax is. Are you out of your fricking mind? Jacksonville is a shithole of the highest order. Sure there is plenty to do if you leave that shithole but out of all the larger cities in Florida it's the worst one and it's not even close. It also has the shittiest beaches in the entire state. You say the Panhandle is desolate but we have Destin, Pensacola, Biloxi, New Orleans all within a short drive and Atlanta and Tallahassee are also short hikes. The panhandle and the gulf portions of Florida are the best part of the state.

fricking Jacksonville....bro

Baton Rouge may have a few pretty older buildings, which Gainesville does not have, but it's a shite hole in comparison in many other ways. Check the crime statistics.

Baton Rouge Crime

Gainevsille Crime

Baton Rouge had more murders in 2012 than Gainesville did in the last 10 years combined.

Couple that with a great live music scene and a good theatre scene, and Gainesville offers a lot of culture for a relatively small town. If that's not your thing, Gainesville has a decent downtown night life, and if that's not your thing, the UF also has one of the best intramural sports leagues in the country.

If you like being outside, there is a ton to do in and around Gainesville, biking, hiking, camping, shooting/hunting, etc. The great thing about Gainesville, is it's like a small city, but the surrounding area is rural. So you have a lot of different things you can do for fun.

I would rather eat a bullet then live in Baton Rouge. Also, Gainesville doesn't smell bad.

If you don't like that combo, I don't guess you make too many home games in BR??

From an LSU fan point of view, I could see this. Not as far to drive from Baton Rouge to go to an awa y game and you could go to the beach at the same time. Kinda like the WLOCP with a better beach.

Maybe that game just needs to be played on a neutral site every year in say, Mobile. You could then go to Gulf Shores, or wherever. Good for Mobile area recruiting as well for both schools.

Meh. I've been to Florida's east coast around Jacksonville and St Augustine. I like parts of that area but the beaches are disgustingly ugly. The panhandle with all its "redneckyness" has beaches that s### all over all the non panhandle beaches I've been to including the Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Tampa area beaches. I haven't been to the south Florida beaches although I've been to the Bahamas which I've heard are similar. I would like to check out the Keys though.

First, your opinion of Gainesville is incorrect and the campus is better than decent. I would compare it favorably to LSU.
Secondly, who wouldn't love to go to Destin!

Thirdly, wouldn't everyone be happy if LSU was anywhere but Baton Rouge?

Leaving the stadium, it smelled awful. There were some FSU fans walking near us from Jax and they told us it always smelled like that.

What are you including as Tampa area beaches, because if that extends to Siesta Key you are out of your mind

That's what ocean beaches look like bro. They are effected by things like tides and surf, unlike gulf beaches.
