The entire secondary and linebackers would probably start for the jets

This question is really just could a team of Alabama alumni in the past 10 years beat the Jets, because he coached at LSU like 13 years ago.

On offense, you'd have:
QB - McCarron - only option
RB - Ingram, Henry, Drake, Yeldon, Lacy, Fowler - decent depth, not many game changers
WR - Julio, Cooper, Stewart, Norwood - actually not a bad receiving corps at all
TE - Howard - still need to see him in action, great in open space though
OL - Carpenter, Fluker, Kelly, Cam Robinson, Andre Smith, Steen, Warmack - strong up the middle, weak on the edges

Defense:
DL - Allen, Dareus, Dial, Pettway, Reed, A Robinson, Tomlinson, Upshaw - pretty strong, pretty deep
LB - Anderson, Barron, Foster, Hightower, Mosley, Ragland, T Williams - great top three with Foster Mosley and Hightower
CB - Humphrey, K Jackson, C Jones, Kirkpatrick - ehhh, not crazy about this bunch
S - Clinton-Dix, Collins, E Jackson - good group of safeties

I do not think they could beat the Jets (lack of special teams, notwithstanding). The safeties and LBs are really strong. Corners are pretty weak. OL is strong up the middle but would have trouble at T. And as bad as the quarterback play in the NFL is this year, I didn't read too much about McCarron's phone ringing off the hook.

There are some good players in there no doubt, but I feel like if these are your starters, you're winning maybe 2 games.

If you did it where it was the peak versions of all the NFL players he's produced as a college HC, going all the way back to Mich State to include guys like Mushin Muhammed and Julian Peterson then yeah. But as of right this moment, no chance.

I'd argue one of the most accomplished players he ever coached was at LSU and is still playing. Andrew Whitworth is one of the best LTs in the NFL, was a pro bowler the past 2 seasons (and in 2012) and on the All Pro team in 2015 and 2014.

Very few of those players would start for the Jet right now. Julio and Amari would and maybe one olineman. 1 to 3 of those defensive players would.

In their prime, and for Rolando's purpose - in his sane mind,

Donta Hightower
CJ Moseley
Rolando McClain
Mark Barron
Marcel Dareus
Rashad Johnson
Landon Collins
HaHa Clinton-Dix
Julio Jones
Amari Cooper
Ardarius Stewart
Jalston Fowler
Andre Smith
Cam Robinson
OJ Howard
Mark Ingram

would all easily start for this year's Jets team.

If an All-Saban Offense vs and All-Saban Defense was a thing. It would be a shutout with lots of Defensive TDs

Which ones? All of those players started or are starting for teams much, much better than this year's New York Jets team. Which ones wouldn't start for that dumpster fire of a team, and why?

Flozell Adams offensive tackle MSU would Start
Brodie James LB LSU would Strat
Skier Green Return Specialist LSU would start
Paul Edinger kicker MSU By far the best kicker Sabah has ever coached
Ben Wilkerson Center LSU Backup for Barrett Jones

These are a few names I would mention. This team would be deep as frick and probably compete with anybody

Yeah, this is a much different topic than the common "could a team of current NFL players from "X school" beat (fill in the blank).

We're talking about a list of badass players over the course of over a decade. They would boat race the Jets, and be competitive across the board, IMO.

It's pretty damn good, actually. Better than many NFL teams.

Is Saban coaching them? Cause he pretty much sucked as an NFL coach.

Mark Ingram was top 3 in the league in YPC last year, and had over 1,000 yards rushing. Mark Ingram alone is better than what most NFL teams have. Add Lacy in his prime, who was NFL Offensive rookie of the year, and Derrick Henry who is doing terrific behind Demarco Murray, along with Yeldon - a serviceable backup with great pass catching ability.

Not sure what's funny. That group is deep as frick.
