Andrew Hatch - his term at LSU was short lived. If I am not mistaken he took a pretty big hit, then started walking to the wrong sideline, never to be heard from again. That same year we got to see Jarrett "Pick Six" Lee pad every opponent's defensive stats.

Lee 2008 averaged over 200 yds a game and our offense as a whole averaged 35 points a game.
Not sure what stats you are looking at, but the ones I am looking at show him averaging 170.3 yards per game. 53.2 completion percent. 13 TD's and 16 INT's and -97 yards rushing. Combine the negative rushing and passing he was averaging 161.5 yards per game. Just about single handedly lost the GA game with two or three pick sixes.
Again, not sure what stats you are looking at but the offense averaged 30.9 points per game. (13 games 402 points)
The offense wasn't that good. Scott had a good year with 18 TD's and over 1200 yards rushing. Williams stayed in the dog house too much to play.

Yep, the D wasn't good that year. LSU gave up 24.2 points per game. Of course that wasn't all on the D. Opponents scored 7 pick sixes that year. Lets repeat that 7 pick sixes!!! If you remove the 7 pick sixes LSU was giving up 20.3 points per game. Not great, but not atrocious either.

That was the Auburn game wasn't it? Got completely hammered and suffered a concussion.
GA was the game that put him out. That was when butter fly brain Lee came in and gave up at least 14 points to pick sixes.

In 05 we put Russell out of the game and I think it was Lee that came in and threw a pick 6 to seal it.
In 08 I don't know who it was (lee again?) but he threw 2 pick 6s to the same guy, and a MLB at that. One was the first play of the game

Lee was still in high school in 05. I assume that would have been Russell that started that game, but I could be mistaken. Maybe Flynn
2008 Was Lee's 1st year playing. If I am not mistaken he was a red shirt freshman.

Ok that's it, they've had a run of drop back white QBs so I get them confused. No it was definitely Russell that started the 05 SECCG, he went out with an ankle injury and Flynn came in. Threw a pick 6 with a few minutes left.

Ok gotcha. Man he was bad that year ha.

If he had been just bad that year LSU might have won another game or two, but he was putrid. He gave up 7 pick sixes. He had 16 INT's. That means almost half of his INT's went the other way for TD's.
LSU fans would have loved for Lee to have been just bad.

Irrelevant to this thread. I don't care that he singlehandedly gave away the Georgia game or threw 7 pick sixes, or averaged 170 yards instead of 200.
He is unfairly judged on one year, and the title of the thread is Worst QB all time for your school. His performances in 2010 & 2011 COMPLETELY negate his mentioning in this thread.
Like I said, look no further than JJ for the all time worst QB.

Gotta be Andrew Hatch for LSU.
Beyond that, I don't think Jamie Howard will ever be forgiven for throwing 5 4th qtr. INTs to lose the game to Auburn in 1994.

Why wouldn't you care when talking about worst QB's ever at LSU? It happened. But it was relevant when you posted this nonsense:

Negatory good buddy... Lee 2008 averaged over 200 yds a game and our offense as a whole averaged 35 points a game. It was our defense that was atrocious that year.
2008 does count. If you are going to mention the good you have to mention the bad.
But as long as you bring up his stellar year of 2010 lets take a look.
2008 QB rating 115
2010 QB rating 119
2008 TD's 14
2010 TD's 2
2008 INT's 16
2010 INT's 1
(You are right. The TD to INT ratio did improve)
2008 Total (rushing and passing) yards from scrimmage - 1,776
2010 Total (rushing and passing) yards from scrimmage - 527
Yep, you are right 2010 was a stellar year for Lee. Not sure why he wasn't considered for the Heisman that year.
Why is it so hard for LSU fan to honestly look at the numbers? As a career starter JL was terrible.

Michael Henig
Name another SEC quarterback who has EVER, thrown 6 picks in one game???????????????

UT has been pretty lucky to have had some pretty good QB's since I have been alive. Two stick out though, Erik Ainge and Crompton. Crompton probably leads the pack, but Ainge isn't far behind.
Ainge was actually a pretty good QB, though he did have that atrocious sophomore season with the pick 6 against LSU from his own endzone. Look at his jr and sr season with Cutcliffe as the OC.
Worst has to be AJ Suggs and C.J. Leak. Hell Leak was so bad, TN lost his younger brother Chris as a commit when we benched CJ.

Good point about Ainge. Although I never trusted him. I was in Tiger Stadium when he lobbed that ball up for a TD and it was just hard to get that out of my memory.
Suggs only played one year before transferring to GA Tech. Hard to count him.
You're right, Leak was awful. The only reason Fulmer kept playing him was to get his brother. Didn't they even split Leak out some to try to keep him on the field?

How about we change it to Head Coaches
Tennessee has had to many of these since I was born. For the most part, they all make me cringe.
Bill Battle was an Gump
Johnny "Draw" Majors was so conservative with his play calling he makes Glenn Beck look liberal.
Fulmer - Ugh. At least he won a national championship and dominated the gumps.
Lane et al.- the right hire, but damn. I just knew we were going to be on probation in no time.
Derrick fricking Dooley. You have got to be shitting me. How he ever got that job is beyond me.

Yeah, I was at CJ's first start at UGA for Clausen who was injured. Fulmer did all he could to keep CJ on the field to get Chris, but finally had to bench him.

Spencer Pennington was awful, but against Georgia that season he got hurt and we got a whole new definition of awful with:
Brandon Avalos.
Here is a quote from the game recap of his start against Southern Miss:
quote:
*The Crimson Tide offense ran 57 snaps in its win over Southern Miss, including 50 rushing plays for 243 yards and two TDs. The 50 attempts and 243 yards are the second-highest totals by the Crimson Tide offense this season. The season high is 53 attempts for 266 yards in a 27-17 win over Kentucky on Sept. 20. On the flip side, Alabama attempted only seven passes (3 completions for 12 yards) in the win over USM.
