Agreed. Top five offense four of the last five years with his offense, and he played in the NFL on defense. That's quite remarkable. He also has an amazing list of coaches he played for or coached with. Just impressive.

Being in the pit of mediocrity or worse this long gives one the insight to be able to tell who else is there. You all just fired another coach. Youre there

And yet your beloved Stoops went 0-3 against Sharky and still lost to our 4-8 team.

I don't think you understand what a "good job" is as a coach... Having access to elite recruits and having a program with the funds to support you is one thing. Having fans and an athletic department with unrealistic expectations is another. Winning the east in back to back years and being fired midway through the next season is not most what most coaches would call a good job. That means at the first opportunity, when shite goes sideways, you're liable to be canned... oh and BTW... UF is willing to frick you on the buyout clause...
Not saying you can't get Frost, nor do I think he's some kind of homerun hire... but the idea that somehow you guys are this sparkly, shiny shite doesn't stink job right now is a bit farcical. A guy like Frost is probably the right level for what you guys will go after though. Up and comers has been UF's mantra with coaching hires generally... rather than proven commodities. If you go back to Spurrier, you're 2 out of 5... that's not bad odds honestly... Hell... UT is 0 for the last 3. UGA had some duds between Dooley and Richt and still never made it where we wanted to be, thus we brought in Kirby.

Mullen would be scary with yall. Frost is a major risk

UF is down, because of a coach. it's why he got fired.
UF will be fine. We have an insanely young roster. A good coach, will have a lot of experience.

I'm just messing with you all. Florida isn't in bad shape. So long as you don't frick up your coach hunt you should be back to doing well very soon.
I wouldn't focus exclusively on Frost though, just on the off chance he decides to go home to Nebraska. Unlikely, but it could happen

UCF went 0-12 in 2015 and now they're 7-0 and a Top 20 team. Frost has done an amazing job there. He may not pan out at UF, but he seems like a guy you have to go after if he wants the job.
I agree. Which is why I said it's obvious he knows his X's and O's and is a good coach. Winning at UCF and winning at UF is apples to oranges though. Its just a risk and not the homerun some UF fans think he is.

Record was not the reason Mac got fired, his attitude was. Mac insulted the AD and the UAA multiple times in public. He never fixed the offense(he literally won with muschamp's defense). He was cocky, arrogant, and didn't perform. He had constant off the field issues with his kids, his own players are coming out and saying he wasn't around to even talk to them and blaming him for issues. Our job is not the top job in the country overall, no. It is a top ten overall job though.
Mac is not gone specifically for record. Mac is gone because Mac was a prick, and he wasn't good enough to be one. Simple as that. We gave Muschamp another year AFTER 4-8. Why? Because Muschamp was a good guy and well liked, he just wasn't good enough to win.
So yes. UF is the top job open this year. Foley hired up and comers. Foley is gone. He was just cheap(see our facilities Stricklin is improving). Frost is a good fit for UF because of his coaching tree, recruiting the area, and his offense. UF needs a guy who can run high tempo, spread based offense. We can't do this off tackle power run stuff. It simply doesn't work here. Two spread type guys, 3 national titles. 3 pro style guys, not even a conference title. We have to get the spread back.

I agree. If we screw up again..we are in trouble. The revenue has gone down a lot. Luckily Foley saved so much money because he was cheap, that we have no issues there...yet. A bad coach again we will find ourselves struggling a bit.

Three years.
Four losses all three years.
Offense outside the top 100 ALL three years
Less than .400 win percentage vs ranked teams
lowest blue chip ratio at UF in 20 years
Worst average star rating at UF since Spurriers last class, for his first two full classes.
Yes...UF has unfair expectations. Us wanting to compete with good teams, and have a top 100 offense is absolutely absurd. How dare we?

UF also just fired a coach that won the east twice in three years. Not a good look.
Anyone paying attention would realize that it needed to be done. “East titles” or not. If they’re not, we don’t need them.

Nebraska fans may kill themselves if this happens. They have been yelling Frost for years.

Oregon wanted him too. He claimed recruiting was to much time there and he wanted to stay home near his family.
Same issue with Nebraska. It's also isanely hard to win there. It's just not the same anymore. Unofficial visits and camps screwed schools like Nebraska. Four and five star recruits can't afford to go to Nebraska on their own dime usually. So Nebraska gets no expose and multiple visits.
