So 900 posts in, has it been decided that Auburn is fricked or is this ATPB 2.0 and nothing will come of this? Or is this only going to be an issue for Javon Robinson?

Uh no! Chizik won the lottery with Newton and Fairley.
I have always thought this was a stupid argument. "Well if you take away their star QB and DT, they would not have won a national title." Well.....duh. I think that would be the case for most national title winning teams. Does 05 Texas win the national title without Vince Young? Does Florida win in 08 without Tebow? How about 07 LSU without Matt Flynn and Glen Dorsey?

However, you do fire mediocre coaches and thats what Auburn will have to suffer through to get rid of him. Several years of mediocrity before they can ditch him.
Chizik is not mediocre. He rescued what nearly everyone, including most Auburn fans, thought was an impossible situation. Tubbs had basically quit recruiting, Saban rolled into town, signed the #1 recruiting class and beat AU 36-0, and AU was in such poor shape they had to choose between a 5-19 coach or fricking Turner Gill.
Chizik wildly exceeded expectations every year he has been at AU and went undefeated through a very tough SEC schedule with what is likely the least talented national title winning team in the BCS era. And this was all while having his starting QB railed through the media the last half of the season and the team having no idea if he would be kicked off the team any given day.
He has had more 4th quarter comebacks and close wins than any coach I can remember. In tough, close games, coaching matters big time and Chizik has found a way to get it done. You really think a mediocre coach comes back from 24-0 against Alabama in Tuscaloosa to win the game? Plus he recruits as well as anyone. He's a damn good coach.

Cliff Notes:
Assuming Auburn left no DNA in Memphis and if JR can convince NCAA "he didn't know" then JR can get special eligibility waiver and redshirt. Some "if's" left to be seen but appears another bullet may have been dodged.

Didn't you just love that game? And Bama yelled for a rematch the rest of the year.....

It must really bother you that Saban has a chance to beat LSU twice in one year?

Robinson was at fan day yesterday. Doesn't seem like Chizik is too worried.

So we were not afraid to play the same team twice unlike another fan base that must have created a 1000 threads as why LSU should not have to play UA again.

We did make it a home game for you guys. I remember all those threads about how LSU could not be beaten in NO. Maybe this year in BR will let you spot the ball on the 50 every possession and see if that helps.

Why should he and if something went wrong in the end I seriously doubt that CGC was aware of it. If anything a rogue booster. I mean no reason to drag the kid through more mud. He was cleared by the Clearing house and accepted by the AU admissions dept. Technically he is still a student and member of the football team unless I missed something.

They should not have had to beat Alabama twice... They were 1-1 against Bama and had a better overall record and are the SEC Champs... Love how this thread is going....

How would he be able to get in even if he didnt know? Shouldn't he have to go to juco or prep school like every other kid that didn't make his grades?

If you are the best it should not matter who you play and how many times. Go back and look at other NCs where 2 teams played for a 2nd time.

If he did not know or AU of any wrongdoing, so neither at fault, the NCAA can grant a waiver, but then he has to demostrate this year he can cut basically. If I remember correctly. But if he was involved he will be headed to JUCO. If Au was involved he will never play at AU. I assume this is what they are investigating at this point. What role everybody played if any.
