Only reason I care anything about this topic is because my wife is a teacher in Tuscaloosa County. She brings home (after taxes) less than $30,000 a year. Her base pay before taxes is $36,000 ish.

She should have worked harder in school.

Mom denies a grade change. Robinson did not know (it worked before).

The more I hear, the less worried I become. TennStud took one truth and added BS. Those make the best lies.

'And now, Memphis city attorneys are negotiating with attorneys for Robinson's son, Jarvis Robinson'

does Jovon have a brother named Jarvis?

Or you could let Logan Young pay you $250000, set you up in a new home and you would not have to move from the town you live in.
Oh wait Logan fell up a flight of stairs didn't he.

Or you could move from pensicola and house-sit an empty home for 3 years. Those jobs are a dime a dozen now-a-days

Yes she does. You're only looking at 9 month employees.

LINK

Scroll down to 11 month employees. 11th year.

That's interesting. Thanks for correcting me on that. I wonder why Shelby's salary schedule differs so greatly from the state's. That schedule looks a whole lot more efficient and clearly stated.

Regardless, I think my original point stands - because Yvette works in Tennessee, and the salaries for teachers and counselors in Tennessee are much less than those in Alabama. Unless Memphis schools pay more than the state mandates.

Heck, she graduated in 4 years with honors - and was one class away from having a 4.0 GPA. They don't care about that. She gets paid the same as someone who it took 6 years to graduate with a B.S. degree and a 2.5 GPA.

She's about to start working on her Masters... but right now, we definitely ain't OT ballin.

It just seemed appropriate after seeing what shitty money teachers make is all.

No. She got about a tenth of that, per her own story, and most of it probably went into a trust for Jovon, as she was never even married to the father.

I expect the rest went to other children, and possibly even parents or siblings, depending on his family status at the time of his death.

That is unreal. Why in the hell would anyone go to school to be a teacher?

Not all systems pay the minimum. In fact, usually only the poorest do.

Additionally, teachers in Alabama work on a 9 month contract. Not sure about TN.

To annualize the salary in that table, you would need to increase the amount in the table by 33%.

Jovon's guidance counselor is NOT an Ole Miss grad.

The counselor who remained after Yvette was fired is an Ole Miss grad.

We know little to nothing about Yvette.

Or did you find something on Yvette that you'd care to share?

Looks like Javon is going to be able to stay with the program and take a redshirt this year. Per Phillip Marshall

just my opinion (and i have obviously less info than PM), but I'd still say the odds are against Robinson playing a down at Auburn University... but like someone said, we shall see.

A DT for Syracuse, who will be a RS-Freshman this season, had fake transcripts and is eligible. Ryan WIlliams, CB signed with AU in 2007, had changed grades and was eligible. It can happen. Will it? We'll see

I would really like to know what his grades were before they were changed. If he doesn't have the grades needed to be at AU, then he shouldn't be there. It sucks for him and it sucks for us, but it's hard to defend academic fraud.

No one yet knows where this the transcript saga will end up, but the vibe I get his today ifrom around the Auburn football program s distinctly positive .
No one - and I mean no one - to whom I have talked believes Auburn as a program is going to have a problem.
I am also told that the belief, again as of today, is that freshman running back Jovon Robinson will remain with the program, possibly redshirting this season, as might have been the case anyway.
Obviously, nothing is certain and new information can surface at any time, but that's what I'm hearing today.
