This is a free country and a person has free speech.
“We just asked ourselves how Craig’s statements would play in our human resources department,”
However if you indeed say how you feel, liberals will stomp you in the ground.

Acting as though they are an agent of a political party is a conspiracy theory. (You didn’t do this, but others on this board do all the time)
They may have liberal biases, but that’s purely a function of their marketing and demographic experts telling them where the money is coming from.
Let me out it to you this way: if the majority of the 20 and 30 somethings in this country were Trump supporters, you’d see a completely different bias.
It’s purely market driven, and the reason the bulk of the ‘news stations’ (which are also for profit) are liberal is because of no other reason than Fox News’ stranglehold on the conservative viewers.
It’s all capitalism at work, which is why I think it’s ironic that (not accusing you) the people on this website that accuse others of communism also cry about politics in sports programming. Politics in sports program is a direct result of capitalism.
yet they're losing viewers at an astronomical rate. How do you explain that?

There’s a variety of reasons. The political stuff may drive away some viewers, but I can guarantee you they aren’t valuable enough for them to change course.
I don’t know ESPN’s/Disney’s business plan, I’m just telling you that all of it is based around maximizing profits. If their politics were legitimately losing them money their investors would have sued them already.
It’s most likely the fact that no one actually cares about live sports coverage outside of the actual games. You have forums, twitter, etc for more up to date sports coverage. The talking heads themselves are outdated, and my guess is the politics are nothing more than a last ditch effort to salvage things.

That’s a silly statement. Sean Hannity (who I loathe) and Tucker Carlson (who I don’t love but does have some interesting conversation from time to time) absolutely wax all their competitors every single night and have for years. If it were about max profit, CNN and MSNBC would try to compete with conservative viewpoints at the same hours. Instead you get Cuomo, Stelter, Lemon, and Maddow. I’m not invalidating any of their views, just that a more conservative angle is profitable at that time slot. Instead MSNBC has doubled down.
Fox went fairly anti-Trump from election night on and has suffered greatly since then.
ESPN going woke since Kaepernick led to the rise of Barstool and Outkick.
Im not against any organization speaking their beliefs at the cost of profits. I work for a small business because of their beliefs whereas I could go work for a large corporate giant in the same field and bank, but I’d be supporting a business style I don’t agree with.
Disney isn’t making decisions for profits, they’re making them based on personal beliefs and what they think will score well on morale. Not profit.
Their layoffs and talent loss only speaks to this.

Craig James was not good at being a talking head, but was fantastic in the booth. Wish someone would bring him back.
Why not at LSU?

Wondering whatever happened to Craig James
A man fitting his description has allegedly been seen running in the streets, wearing only a mask and cowboy boots, and screaming something about a pirate being on his arse.
It may be him.

Newsmax and OAN have tried this for nearly a decade and gotten nowhere until recently - which likely won’t last.
MSNBC seriously considered a few years back but decided it wasn’t feasible to try to compete with viewers.

Because they are currently shifting business plans to prepare for the post-Trump world. There’s literally news articles about it.

Barstool is web media, which is the future as compared to a television station.

No publicly traded company does this.

Which is why you don’t seem to understand how big [publicly traded] businesses operate. It’s not just about making sure everyone gets a paycheck and benefits like small businesses

You are wading into delusional conspiracy territory with this, and you clearly don’t understand Disney’s business practices over the years.
Disney sells morality. They will not risk being remembered as a company on the wrong side of history 10 years from now. That’s not “personal beliefs”, that’s business.
Walt Disney himself was a Nazi sympathizer. Disney cartoons used to be racist. Disney does business with China and ignores some of the racist shite they do.
They dont give a shite about anything but money, and the second they comprise that their board of directors would start firing executives.
